Apalachee High School shooter Colt Gray changes his plea to guilty, now facing life in prison for killing two students and two teachers in the September 2024 attack in Georgia.

Gray, who was 14 at the time of the shooting and charged as an adult on 55 counts including murder and aggravated assault, entered the plea Friday without a deal from prosecutors. His trial had been set for mid-October.

A judge must now decide whether Gray will ever be eligible for parole.

Today, one of his victims who survived being shot gave her impact statement. At first, she spoke too quickly, prompting the judge to tell her to slow down.

This led to Colt Gray bursting out in laughter, along with other members of the courtroom.

Survivor Natalie Griffith was quickly reading her impact statement when the judge told her to slow down, prompting laughs from Gray and the courtroom.

Gray has pleaded guilty to all 55 counts. He was charged as an adult.

The minimum sentence he is facing is life with parole, and the maximum is life without parole.
