KARMA: Liberal Crashes Car Moments After Insulting Conservative Politician

Nigel-Farage-Incident-Clacton.jpg

Viral footage from the U.K. shows a woman immediately wrecking her car after she stopped to shout insults at a prominent right-wing politician, who was holding an event on the side of the ride.

Footage of the incident was uploaded by Reform U.K. leader Nigel Farage — whose party is projected to achieve massive gains and become the largest singular party in the country.

In the video, a woman driving a grey sedan can be seen driving past the group while yelling “wanker” out her window. In order to do so, she ended up taking her eyes off the road, missed an upcoming red light and rear-ended the vehicle that was stopped just ahead of her.

“She won’t be doing that again,” one bystander can be heard saying.

Farage posted the video of the incident on X, along with the caption, “This lady shouted abuse at me and then crashed her own car. That’s what you might call instant karma!”

The incident occurred in the run-up to a special election — known in the U.K. as a by-election — in the coastal community of Clacton. Farage had resigned as the area’s member of Parliament earlier in July, citing intense media and parliamentary attention on his finances and political backers. This vacancy triggered the vote, scheduled for August 13.

In the British system, a by-election functions much like a special election for a vacant U.S. House seat. Farage is seeking to reclaim the seat, framing the contest as a “people versus the establishment” matchup.

He faces an unusually large field of 33 other candidates. Major national parties have chosen not to field contenders, which has left the ballot dominated by independents and lesser-known figures.

Among the higher-profile challengers are the satirical candidate Count Binface and former actor Laurence Fox.
