A Pentagon official has been placed on leave after he was filmed bashing President Donald Trump and promising he would “stay” until Trump leaves office so he can “undo whatever’s been done.”

A report from Newsweek identified the man as Brandon Newsom, a senior official in the office of the Secretary of the Navy.

He was filmed by reporter James O’Keefe, of O’Keefe Media Group, who conducts undercover investigations and interviews.

“In the footage, Newsom can be heard saying that he wanted to ‘stay and stick it out’ at the Pentagon, adding: ‘So that way, when the time comes, I can undo whatever’s been done [by the Trump administration],'” the report said.

He said his job has challenged his “morals” and confirms he would not allow “one specific prayer service.”

He lashed out at Trump as a “textbook narcissist” and said the president’s campaign in Iran, to make certain the rogue Islamic regime doesn’t obtain nuclear weapons, was “completely stupid.”

The suspension from his job was confirmed by acting Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao.

“The Department of the Navy takes the conduct shown in this video extremely seriously. Such statements and apparent intent to leverage a position to undermine the policies and direction set by our elected leaders are inappropriate and incompatible with the standards expected of Department personnel,” he said.

The Newsweek report noted there have been multiple instances in recent months in which the Pentagon took action against defense and national-security officials whose views publicly clashed with those of the commander-in-chief.
