President Trump had some really strong words for China’s President Xi Jinping.

On Tuesday night, President Trump called out Chinese President Xi Jinping for “conspiring against the United States.”

Trump’s comments came as the leader of China held a massive military parade and invited Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un to the event.

ABC News provided further context to Trump’s latest remarks on Xi:

President Donald Trump took to his social media platform as Chinese President Xi Jinping, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared together in Beijing on Wednesday.

Trump accused Xi of “conspiring against” the United States as they attended China’s largest-ever military parade, marking the 80th anniversary of Japan’s surrender in World War II.

“May President Xi and the wonderful people of China have a great and lasting day of celebration. Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against The United States of America,” Trump wrote on social media as the parade was underway.

Trump referenced America’s involvement in World War II in his post on, saying, “The big question to be answered is whether or not President Xi of China will mention the massive amount of support and ‘blood’ that The United States of America gave to China in order to help it to secure its FREEDOM from a very unfriendly foreign invader.”

“Many Americans died in China’s quest for Victory and Glory. I hope that they are rightfully Honored and Remembered for their Bravery and Sacrifice!” the president wrote.

CNN reported more on the significance of the three leaders meeting up:

For many in the West, the defining image of Beijing’s grand show of military might on Wednesday is not the parade of stealth fighter jets, hypersonic weapons or nuclear missiles – but the sight of Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un standing side by side in an unprecedented show of solidarity against the West.

From atop the Gate of Heavenly Peace, Xi presided over a 70-minute parade to mark the end of World War II. On his right was a strongman who’s waging Europe’s bloodiest conflict since 1945; and on his left, a dictator funneling troops and weapons to the battlefield.

To Xi, their strategic alignment with his vision for a new world order has earned them a prime seat at his big event celebrating the dawn of peace – seemingly outweighing their roles in launching and sustaining a war that has killed tens of thousands of people.

At various moments throughout the parade, the three autocrats – who had never appeared together in public before – are seen leaning toward one another, exchanging a few words or sharing a smile.

The deliberate display of unity is a pointed rebuke to US President Donald Trump’s faltering attempt to end Russia’s war in Ukraine, and an open challenge to America’s waning global leadership under Trump.
