This story is just a bit of fun.

Thought we could do with something light-hearted.

Yesterday was May the 4th, which has been regarded as Star Wars Day. (Because it sounds like the phrase, May the Force Be With You.)

And that’s when politics and Star Wars came together.

The White House tweeted this out yesterday. (Just wished they gave President Trump a green lightsaber instead a red one.)

Happy May the 4th to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting so hard to to bring Sith Lords, Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, & well known MS-13 Gang Members, back into our Galaxy. You’re not the Rebellion—you’re the Empire.

The same day, we have Vice President JD Vance replying to a Jack Posobiec on X, defending the prequel films.

To those that don’t know, the prequel consists of The Phantom Menace (1999), Attack of the Clones (2002), and Revenge of the Sith (2005). Amazing that it’s been 20 years this month since the last proper Star Wars film was released.

Posobiec makes a great point about the sequels.

Ironically, the prequel trilogy is actually a warning on how evil comes to power. How manipulation in the Senate grows and brings everyone under bondage. How those pushing for evil kept saying they were “for democracy”.

It’s a great commentary on our current system. Re-watch them and notice how many similarities there are to what’s been happening in this country.

But Posobiec refuses to accept the truth about those films haha.

Daily Mail reports:

Vice President JD Vance shocked the MAGA universe on Monday by posting a controversial take on George Lucas’s Star Wars prequel trilogy.

‘The prequels were underrated,’ Vance wrote in response to a post on X from MAGA influencer Jack Posobiec declaring the movies were no good.

‘The prequels suck because they were poorly made by George Lucas who only had a small role in the original series,’ Posobiec wrote. ‘The sequels suck because they are abominations made by Disney committees and JJ Abrams simps.’

Lucas’ prequel trilogy that began with Episode 1: The Phantom Menace remains contested by Star Wars fans who felt they fell short of the standard set by the original space trilogy.

‘Based take by the future President of the US! Episode 3 is better than anything Disney has made by a long shot. It’s right up there with the originals,’ wrote Hank Rearden.

‘The Star Wars Prequels are on the same level as the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and I’m tired of pretending they’re not,’ wrote author Joshua Lisec.

‘Totally agree, JD! Prequels are a gem!,’ wrote Jake Summers.

Some indicated that the Star Wars sequels were so bad they made the prequels better by comparison.

’I mean, the sequels had basically George Lucas on my shoulder whispering ‘miss me yet?‘” wrote Mario Hachemer on X

Prequels aged like wine thanks to the sequels,’ wrote Shawn Farash.

Vance’s Star Wars take extended the conversation from ‘May the Fourth’ themed content that was sparked on Sunday after the White House posted an AI generated image of Trump wielding an orange lightsaber.

Not only a prequel defender, but JD Vance called out the abomination The Last Jedi years ago.

Looks like Trump picked the right guy after all!

While Episode I: The Phantom Menace has it’s flaws, but it has a lot of charm. (I could write a thesis on why that movie is a standalone film.)

And the hype around it was parallel to none!

Those films remind me of a time when there were great blockbusters to look forward to seeing in the summer, when eating at fast food joints felt like arriving at a Star Wars birthday party.

The fun was everywhere, and that’s what we’re missing nowadays.

Compare that to modern Disney Star Wars, heck, anything out of Hollywood.

We need to make Hollywood great again and bring back the fun.

The best part of Disney Star Wars is the John Williams’ scores and the SNL skits made for those films.
