New Jersey admits that the voter fraud that doesn’t happen was happening

Democrats and liberal media have said that evidence of voter fraud, specifically fraud committed by noncitizens, is essentially nonexistent. Now, New Jersey’s Democratic governor has effectively killed that talking point.

Gov. Mikie Sherrill announced on Tuesday that she had removed 6,600 voters from the state’s voter rolls. Those voters were nonresidents who applied for driver’s licenses and were automatically registered as voters by the state due to what Sherrill calls a “serious software error.” More notably, Sherrill said that “Our preliminary analysis shows fewer than 400 individuals who were newly registered for the first time because of the error voted.”

WHITE HOUSE TAKES VICTORY LAP OVER DISCOVERY OF 6,600 NONCITIZENS ON NEW JERSEY VOTER ROLLS

So, we have gone from the New York Times saying just two weeks ago that “widespread noncitizen voting” is “a problem that doesn’t exist” to the Democratic governor of a state admitting that around 400 noncitizens illegally voted after the state gave over 6,000 of them the ability to do so. And that is just one state, and just the examples that were caught. Several other states and cities (primarily, but not exclusively, run by Democrats) have seen noncitizens registered and able to vote under similar automatic voter enrollment programs. That includes over 7,000 illegally cast votes from over 5,000 improperly registered noncitizens in Virginia, according to a report from the Public Interest Legal Foundation.

The Democratic Party, willfully or not, is only making this problem worse. Aside from giving noncitizens (including illegal immigrants) driver’s licenses while running an automatic voter registration program through the DMV, many Democrat-run cities want to (or do) allow noncitizens to vote in local elections. Democratic politicians also rabidly oppose any efforts to require voter identification, which would help catch such scandals before they become scandals, declaring that requiring any form of voter identification is “Jim Crow” voter suppression.

ICE ARRESTS ‘CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIEN’ FOR VOTER FRAUD IN PHILADELPHIA

We know that voter fraud happens, as two local politicians in California have been charged with committing election fraud in the past few years. We know voter fraud can affect high-profile races, as it did in Minnesota’s 2008 Senate election. And we know now that the state of New Jersey has unintentionally facilitated voter fraud to the tune of several hundred illegally cast votes and several thousand illegally registered voters.

When you combine that with the fact that Democrats are making it easier for noncitizens and illegal immigrants to vote (both unintentionally and intentionally) and oppose any safeguards under the guise of “voter suppression,” you have a blooming voter fraud issue that is only going to get worse in the coming years. It is not something that can be dismissed as “a problem that doesn’t exist.”
