Beloved Fox & Friends Host Makes Life-Changing Announcement

The Fox & Friends family is celebrating another new arrival.

Fox & Friends First co-host Carley Shimkus and her husband, Peter Buchignani, have welcomed their second child, Harrison, expanding their family more than three years after the birth of their first son, Brock.

Shimkus first revealed she was expecting during a surprise announcement on Fox & Friends First in March, telling viewers she and her family were thrilled to be welcoming another son.

“I’m having another baby!” Shimkus announced on-air.

She said at the time that Brock was excited to become a big brother and joked that while she briefly hoped for a little girl, she wasn’t surprised to learn another boy was on the way.

“When I got the news that I was pregnant, I just knew it was another boy and that this baby is another blessing from God,” Shimkus said.

The birth marks another milestone for one of Fox News’ most recognizable morning personalities.

Shimkus joined Fox News in 2009 as a production assistant before moving into on-air roles across Fox News and Fox Business. She later served as a headlines reporter and frequent contributor before becoming co-host of Fox & Friends First in late 2021 alongside Todd Piro.

Since then, she has become a fixture of the network’s early-morning lineup, helping viewers start their day with breaking news, political coverage and lighter features before handing things off to the flagship Fox & Friends program.

Shimkus and Buchignani married in 2015 after meeting years earlier. The couple spent much of their marriage balancing careers in different cities before welcoming their first son, Brock Edward, in January 2023.

Following Brock’s birth, Shimkus frequently shared glimpses of motherhood with viewers and spoke about returning to the anchor desk while adjusting to life with a newborn.

When announcing her second pregnancy earlier this year, Shimkus also joked that the family may soon need more space as they prepared to welcome baby No. 2, saying she and Buchignani had begun looking at homes on Long Island.

The pregnancy announcement sparked an outpouring of congratulations from viewers and Fox News colleagues, many of whom said they were excited for Brock to become a big brother.

The latest addition to the Shimkus family comes as the longtime Fox News personality continues to balance one of the network’s highest-profile morning television roles with life at home as a mother of two.
