President Trump just announced his next move to end the dangerous drug trade that is killing hundreds of thousands of Americans every year.

During an exclusive interview with Sean Hannity this evening, President Trump said that drugs coming in by water have been all but eliminated.

That’s awesome news.

But now, it’s time to start land strikes in Mexico against the cartels.

JUST IN: President Trump says the United States will be conducting land strikes against the cartels.

“We are gonna start now hitting land, with regard to the cartels. The cartels are running Mexico.”

“It’s very, very sad to watch and see what’s happened to that country, but the cartels are running and they’re killing 300,000 people in our country every single year.”

This would be a huge step to end the drug cartels for good!

President Trump has also been pressuring Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum to let him send in U.S. troops to help end the drug cartels in her country — but, she has refused every time.

Most recently, she condemned U.S. military action in Venezuela following the capture of Nicolas Maduro.

Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum said Monday that the Americas “do not belong” to any power, after Trump invoked Washington’s “dominance” of the hemisphere after seizing Maduro.

Trump said on Sunday he was pushing Sheinbaum to let him send US troops to tackle drug cartels in Mexico, an offer he said she had previously rebuffed.
