This evening, we brought you the breaking news that a man and woman had been shot by Border Patrol agents in Portland, OR.

Now, more details are coming out about the situation and who exactly these two ‘victims’ were.
As it turns out, the two people shot were illegal aliens who were stopped by federal agents at a traffic stop.
After immigration authorities identified themselves, the driver of the car tried to run them over.
Acting in self-defense, one of the agents shot at them.
Oh, and, get this: the driver of the car is believed to be affiliated with the notorious Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang.

At 2:19 PST, US Border Patrol agents were conducting a targeted vehicle stop in Portland, Oregon. The passenger of the vehicle and target is a Venezuelan illegal alien affiliated with the transnational Tren de Aragua prostitution ring and involved in a recent shooting in Portland. The vehicle driver is believed to be a member of the vicious Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. When agents identified themselves to the vehicle occupants, the driver weaponized his vehicle and attempted to run over the law enforcement agents.
Fearing for his life and safety, an agent fired a defensive shot. The driver drove off with the passenger, fleeing the scene.
This situation is evolving and more information is forthcoming.
Dangerous illegal criminals tried to murder a federal agent with their car and ended up getting shot — just one day after another woman was killed for doing the same thing.
Let’s wait and see how many Democrats condemn trying to kill federal agents by running them over.
So far, I haven’t seen any.
However, the Portland mayor was very quick to blame the situation on immigration authorities.

Mayor Keith Wilson said the incident was another sign that federal immigration efforts were out of control. He called on the Trump administration to end enforcement operations in Portland.
“We cannot sit by while constitutional protections erode and bloodshed mounts,” Mr. Wilson said in a statement. “Portland is not a ‘training ground’ for militarized agents, and the ‘full force’ threatened by the administration has deadly consequences.”
As for their condition, both of the illegal aliens shot in Portland are alive but still in the hospital.
NBC News has the latest update:
The shooting involving federal agents that wounded two people in Portland tonight was part of a targeted operation, two law enforcement sources familiar with the situation told NBC News.
One source specified that the agents were part of the special operation detachment in “Operation Oregon.”
Agents stopped a red Toyota and the driver tried to flee, striking an unidentified agent, the sources said. An agent then fired at the vehicle, the sources said.
The people in the vehicle, a 33-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, were treated for injuries at a local hospital.
The sources described them as suspected Venezuelan gang members or associates.
