In light of a DOJ report that fired FBI Director James Comey defied authority in his handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson tweeted a friendly reminder about how the FBI doctored Comey's initial statement on the bureau's findings in an effort to cover up Clinton's crimes.

The Hill revealed in November 2017 that the original draft of Comey's final statement on the Clinton email case accused Clinton of being “grossly negligent” in handling classified information: (RELATED: First Comey Draft Accused Hillary Clinton Of “Gross Negligence” In Email Scandal).

There is evidence to support a conclusion that Secretary Clinton, and others, used the private email server in a manner that was grossly negligent with respect to the handling of classified information.

However, the FBI reviewing official – who was later revealed to be none other than Peter Strzok – suggested Comey change the wording to “extremely careless,” thus dampening the illegality of Clinton's actions. Further, Strzok also revised the statement to emphasize Clinton's alleged “intent,” which is irrelevant in cases of gross negligence. (RELATED: FBI Agent Peter Strzok Changed Agency's Description of Clinton from “Grossly Negligent” to “Extremely Careless”).

Attkisson tweeted these revisions in full on Tuesday.

But these weren't the only changes made. The Hill further reported in January that whereas Comey “originally concluded that it was ‘reasonably likely' that Clinton's nonsecure private server was accessed or hacked by hostile actors,” Comey's team changed the passage to read that it was only “possible” that Clinton had been hacked.

Five separate references to terms like “grossly negligent” were also removed, as well as “mention of evidence supporting felony and misdemeanor violations.”

In other words, Comey and his team worked to give Clinton unequal protection under the law. Prosecutors should see fit that Comey doesn't receive the same protections himself.

I am reminded of when I worked at a place where I had a security clearance and when we brought papers in that were top secret, we had to leave them in an envelope that said "Top Secret" and we had to wait there( not ever leave anything on the desks unattended) until the person in charge had read the paper and signed off, then it was sealed again with their secure signature and we had to walk it back to the originator to be "securely filed in a locked cabinet"> This ages me as this was in the days of paper, but we would have been fired on the spot if we acted in the manner these "grossly negligent" criminals did. Shameful!

Or worse... prosecution.

Why in the world is this entire debacle taking so long?! Dozens of these corrupt Obama holdovers should be under prosecution, as we speak.

If you or I commited these crimes, we would be UNDER the prison!
