The crash was caught on camera, It happened in the northeast region of Belo Horizonte, where it descended rapidly before striking a building.

Captured footage showed debris flying, dark clouds of smoke, and people running in a panic amid the fiery explosion.

There were five people aboard the aircraft. Two were killed in the accident — the pilot and one passenger — while three others were injured and taken to a hospital.

It is unknown whether there were any casualties in the building.

Fernando Moreira Souto, 36, the son of Jequitinhonha’s mayor, was among the five aboard. Fernando, a veterinarian, is survived by his wife and two children.
