A new report has revealed that the ICE agent who fatally shot anti-ICE activist Renee Good last week, after she hit him with her vehicle, suffered internal bleeding.

In a report given by U.S. officials, it states that Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent who is seen on video shooting Good after she hit him with her vehicle, suffered internal bleeding in his torso.

CBS News broke the story and had the entire scoop:

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent who fatally shot Renee Good last week in Minneapolis, Jonathan Ross, suffered internal bleeding to the torso following the incident, according to two U.S. officials briefed on his medical condition.

It was unclear how extensive the bleeding was. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed Ross’ injury, but has not yet responded to CBS News’ requests for more information. This story will be updated as we learn more.

Videos from the scene showed Ross walking away after the incident.

Ross has not returned to work, one source said, but did not say why.

Kristi Noem, the Homeland Security secretary, previously acknowledged that Ross was taken to the hospital after the shooting and was released the same day. She said he was recovering from his injuries, describing him as an experienced law enforcement officer who believed he was defending himself and fellow agents.

“The officer was hit by the vehicle. She hit him. He went to the hospital. A doctor did treat him. He has been released,” Noem told reporters on Jan. 7.

Ross, a 10-year law enforcement veteran with ICE, was seriously injured in June in a separate incident in the Minneapolis area when he was dragged by a car during an attempted arrest, requiring 33 stitches and hospital care, court records show.

The New York Post reported Ross is a veteran and committed Christian:

The ICE agent who fatally shot protester Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis is a Trump-supporting Christian and war veteran who has a Filipina wife, according to his family.

Jonathan Ross, 43, has been identified as the agent who opened fire on Good on Wednesday after the feds allege she tried to mow him down with her SUV on the suburban street.

As anti-ICE protests erupted across the country and Democratic leaders ramped up their divisive rhetoric in the wake of the shooting, the agent’s family rushed to his defense, telling the Daily Mail “you would never find a nicer, kinder person.”

“He’s a committed, conservative Christian, a tremendous father, a tremendous husband. I couldn’t be more proud of him,” said his dad, Ed Ross.

The Iraq War veteran married his wife, who hasn’t been identified publicly, in 2012.

His in-laws are doctors who live in the Philippines, the outlet reported.
