JD Vance Ridicules Latest Democrat Stunt: ‘Lamest Opposition In American History’

Even after a dismal showing in November’s election and cratering approval ratings in the months since, Democratic Party leaders remain far more focused on trashing President Trump than trying to repair their own tattered reputation.

That has been evident in the left’s ongoing campaign to characterize the president as a flip-flopper using the acronym TACO, which stands for “Trump Always Chickens Out.”

Their juvenile taunts fall flat upon scrutiny, however, since Trump has repeatedly held firm to his principles and promises since taking office.

But that didn’t stop Democrats from parking a taco truck outside of the Republican Party headquarters in DC for what they must have thought would be an incredibly clever political statement.

Instead, it was the subject of a scathing rebuke from Vice President JD Vance, as The Hill reported:

“We have the lamest opposition in American history,” Vance wrote on the social media platform X in response to a post about the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) taco truck, which features a depiction of Trump in a giant chicken costume with the words “Trump Always Chickens Out.”

The Trump administration has been hit with the “TACO” moniker on Wall Street over the president’s penchant to renege on policies after they prove to be unpopular.

Democrats have embraced the phrase to more broadly blast the president over his policies.

“Trump always chickens out — we’re just bringing the tacos to match,” DNC Chair Ken Martin said in a statement on the food truck’s message. “Instead of realizing his tariff chaos is wrecking the economy, Trump continues to drag America towards more economic pain, and the rest of the world sees Trump for exactly what he is: a chicken.”

The anti-Trump nickname and taco truck stunt were roundly mocked by social media users too:

In a statement to Fox News Digital, NRCC spokesman Mike Marinella mocked the DNC for parking the truck at a church a block away.

“Looks like the Democrats took a break from fighting amongst themselves to stage a pathetic stunt,” Marinella said. The most embarrassing part? They couldn’t even get the location right. You can’t fix stupid.”

“LMFAO,” Zach Parkinson, RNC communications director, told Fox News Digital. “A taco truck? Are they going to be giving out free vasectomies again, too? These people are morons. No wonder Democrats’ approval rating is at a historic low.”
