DHS Secretary Kristi Noem Announces RECORD Number of Lethal Drugs Seized

Underneath President Trump, more is being done to stop the illicit flow of dangerous drugs into our nation than perhaps any previous administration.

As evidence of that, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem just announced that a record-breaking amount of lethal drugs have been seized.

While standing in a room full of hundreds of thousands of pounds of illegal narcotics, Noem said that they have seized over 1.7 billion lethal doses of drugs.

Noem also announced a giant drop in fentanyl trafficking since President Trump returned to the White House.

CBS 8 reported:

Noem said there has been a 56% drop in fentanyl trafficking in America since Trump came into office and put his plans into action. CBS 8 has not been able to independently verify that information.

In the drug vault where she hosted her press conference, Noem said she was surrounded by an inventory that includes 100,000 pounds of meth, 59,000 pounds of cocaine and 7,400 pounds of fentanyl that was apprehended along San Diego County’s border. She also noted a large portion of the seizures were at the county’s ports of entry.

Noem said the cartel is responsible for the “dangerous flow” of drugs agents have seized.

“President Trump has called the cartel the ISIS of the western hemisphere and he’s right,” Noem said. “The cartels traffic, they torture, they behead human beings and they enrich themselves and profit off American deaths. That’s why Trump took action and designated them as foreign terrorists on day one.”

While delivering remarks, Noem called for Gov. Gavin Newsom to start working with, rather than against, the administration for the benefit of the American people.

The secretary also called on California Governor Gavin Newsom, local law enforcement and elected officials to work with the Trump administration to keep dangerous criminals off the streets.

“Right now in prisons and jails across California, ICE has lodged detainers on over 33,000 criminal illegal aliens,” Noem explained.

“Instead of honoring these detainers against criminals who have trafficked drugs and committed crimes across the American people, Governor Newsom and California sanctuary policies have released over 4,500 criminal illegal aliens back onto the streets to create more victims that will harm more Americans.”
