The FBI has confirmed the arrest of a man who allegedly had plans to destroy a federal facility, and whose aims for killing the President are only now coming to light.

Joseph Neumeyer was identified by a statement put out by the Dept. of Justice following a court appearance in New York, after which he was ordered held without bond until his trial.

He was arrested at JFK International Airport earlier today as he was being DEPORTED from Israel back to the United States following a wild set of events.

He is being charged initially for attempting to firebomb a branch office in Tel Aviv associated with the U.S. Embassy in Israel, which itself is now located in Jerusalem — thanks to President Trump’s action during his first term.

AG Pam Bondi stated that her intention is to prosecute him to the “fullest extent of the law”, according to the DOJ statement:

“This defendant is charged with planning a devastating attack targeting our embassy in Israel, threatening death to Americans, and President Trump’s life,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi. “The Department will not tolerate such violence and will prosecute this defendant to the fullest extent of the law.”

“As alleged, Neumeyer, armed with potentially lethal devices, sought to cause chaos and destruction at the U.S.Embassy in Tel Aviv,” said U.S. Attorney Joseph Nocella for the Eastern District of New York. “His arrest and prosecution clearly show that my Office and the Department of Justice will not tolerate violence in our homeland or violence targeting U.S. interests abroad.”
It is only now being found that he issued multiple threats against President Trump (and also Elon Musk, judging from one of the photos I’ll share in a moment), besides his failed attack on the U.S. facility in Tel Aviv.

But his rampant threats are only now coming to light following his arrest — even though some of them were made a month+ ago!

How do these guys keep going under the radar…!!!???

The DOJ announced the arrest on it’s official X account along with a quote from AG Pam Bondi:

Here’s a photo purportedly of Neumayer with one of his many alleged threats overlaid across the image:

If that image is not clear, here’s a cropped version showing the alleged threat that has been uncovered in his social media accounts following the announcement of his arrest:

Again I ask — how do these people keep going under the radar?

There is no doubt in my mind that if I issued some sort of threat like that against the sitting President (say… 6 months ago?) — the feds would have rolled up on me in a matter of hours.

There is no way the people we keep finding out about are just “slipping through the cracks” with the digital footprints they are leaving, sometimes MONTHS before taking action.

Here’s the breaking news at it was initially reported by Fox News if you prefer a video report:

As that report detailed, Neumayer allegedly spit on a guard at the Embassy branch office, causing him to drop his pack before initially fleeing and getting away.

Following his arrest today, the details of that event and what followed is now being revealed, as reported by Newsweek:

FBI special agents on Sunday arrested dual U.S.-German citizen Joseph Neumayer at JFK International Airport in New York in connection with an attempt to destroy the Branch Office of the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) said in a Sunday press release.

According to a complaint unsealed in the Eastern District of New York, Neumayer is alleged to have left a dark-colored backpack next to the embassy building on May 19, having arrived in Israel in April. He was initially arrested in Israel and transferred to U.S. custody on Sunday.

Authorities tracked Neumeyer to his hotel where he was arrested.

Neumeyer’s social media revealed that earlier on May 19, he posted, “join me as I burn down the embassy in Tel Aviv. Death to America, death to Americans, and f–k the west.”

Other social media posts from an account believed to be used by Neumeyer revealed his threats to assassinate President Donald Trump, the DOJ wrote in its press release.
FBI Director Kash Patel also posted on X following the arrest of Neumeyer at JFK Airport in NYC, mentioning the dual citizenship held by Neumayer.

Considering some of his threats, including “Death to America”, that entire issue of dual citizenship is sure to become an issue again. (More thoughts on that in a moment…)

Here’s Kash Patel’s post relating the details of the arrest and the events leading up to it:

Joining our partners, I can confirm that today FBI agents arrested Joseph Neumayer, a dual U.S. and German citizen, on allegations of planning to firebomb the United States Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel — as well as threats made against President Trump’s life on social media.…

Director Patel emphasized that the man not only attempted to firebomb the embassy, but made numerous threats against President Trump on his social media.

Here’s the full text of Patel’s post for convenience:

Joining our partners, I can confirm that today FBI agents arrested Joseph Neumayer, a dual U.S. and German citizen, on allegations of planning to firebomb the United States Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel — as well as threats made against President Trump’s life on social media.

Neumayer was arrested earlier this week in Israel — when Embassy officials discovered a backpack carrying multiple explosive devices and a social media account allegedly linked to Neumayer detailing intent to attack the Embassy and threatening President Trump.

Israel returned him to the U.S. as of this morning, where our special agents arrested him at John F. Kennedy airport.

He will now face justice.

Thank you to our agents, intelligence teams, and partners both at home and around the world for your work in this case.
Again, how the powers-that-be miss a man openly saying he’s going to “burn down the embassy in Tel Aviv”, I’ll never know.

But I have suspicions that even now, with the Trump Administration at the helm, that same old Deep State is continuing to operate by straddling — and often crossing over — what SHOULD be a line they should never cross.

Sure enough, Neumayer openly posted his intentions that morning, and only had his attack thwarted later that day because of his own failure — not, apparently, because our intel picked up on the opensource threat and did anything about it.

That’s the only reason his pack full of incendiary devices (Molotov Cocktails for the most part) was discovered.

Later, the Israeli authorities tracked him down, likely with the help of their sophisticated biometric and digital camera systems.

He faces 20 years in prison if convicted, according to The Hill:

Police arrested Neumayer in his hotel room located five blocks from the embassy, later discovering he posted on social media earlier in the day, “join me as I burn down the embassy in Tel Aviv. Death to America, death to Americans, and f—k the west.”

Other social media accounts believed to belong to Neumayer revealed threats to assassinate President Trump. Some of the alleged posts also include threats to Elon Musk.

“This defendant is charged with planning a devastating attack targeting our embassy in Israel, threatening death to Americans, and President Trump’s life,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said. “The Department will not tolerate such violence and will prosecute this defendant to the fullest extent of the law.”

FBI Director Kash Patel also condemned Neumayer’s actions.

“This despicable and violent behavior will not be tolerated at home or abroad, and the FBI, working with our partners, will bring him to face justice for his dangerous actions,” he said.

Neumayer faces a minimum of five years in prison and a maximum of 20 years in prison, and a maximum fine of $250,000, if he is convicted.
And wouldn’t you know it — would you believe me if I told you he allegedly made a ton of donations to ActBlue?

According to FEC records… he did. (I have a feeling our readers are not surprised.)

There’s one final issue I want to bring up in this story before it develops further, either in reality or in the perception created by the news.

Where his German dual citizenship comes from I can only assume at this stage — he likely has a German parent.

But he hails from Colorado, and was living there prior to his trip to Israel last month, by what I gather from the coverage over at Fox News:

Joseph Neumeyer, 28, who also holds German citizenship, was found last week outside the embassy office in Tel Aviv with a backpack containing several Molotov cocktails, federal prosecutors said.

He is charged with attempting to destroy, by means of fire or explosive, the U.S. Embassy.

“As alleged, Neumeyer, armed with potentially lethal devices, sought to cause chaos and destruction at the United States Embassy in Tel Aviv,” said U.S. Attorney Joseph Nocella, Jr.

Neumeyer, a Colorado resident, was deported from Israel to the U.S. and appeared in a New York federal courtroom on Sunday, where he was ordered held pending trial. (Emphasis added.)
Here’s my question: If he has dual-citizenship, hates America, is issuing threats against the President, and is planning and launching attacks against American government buildings…

Why did we even bring him back?

I get it — justice. The argument of the DOJ would be that we want to prosecute him, and make sure he serves his time as “justice” demands.

But… is he truly an American?

Or is he a “Colorado man” in the same sense that Kilmar Abrego Garcia was a “Maryland Man”?

He….

  • Has German citizenship.
  • Hates America.
  • Attacked American interests.
  • Threatened to kill the President!
Tell me again, why did we bring him back here?

In my estimation, JUSTICE could have been served just as easily — and at less cost — if we had DENIED him re-entry to the nation he hates so much…

And let Israel and Germany figure out the rest.

Don’t get me wrong — part of me is very satisfied that the guy is going to face American justice in American courts. (As long as that actually happens.)

But I really question why we would bring someone like that back to American soil. Even if the Israeli’s say “Here’s your guy — take him.” We still didn’t have to bring him HERE.

There are plenty of other places ( …Gitmo… ) where “problem” people with dubious ties to America can be sent, kept, and never see the soil they hate so much EVER AGAIN.

Just a thought.

Maybe it’s better to bring him “home” and take care of it once and for all. (Or at least take care of it for the 20 years he MIGHT spend in prison.)

What do you think?
