The Militia are not soldiers. They, like a "Posse" are from the population. When called on, they BRING THEIR OWN GUNS. Imagine banning the Militia to own AR rifles, which has an effective range of 500 yards and bring only pistols with an effective range of 100 yards. The Militia would be wiped out before they'd got within 100 yards. But.....the only good point would be making politicians walk point.

When you can't walk around with a six shooter in your western style holster without being detained and questioned by the police and you have to register your weapon with the government, you have to wonder if you actually have any guns rights. Guns rights are about self defense but everything about self defense is infringed. Just try wearing a knife on your belt that is over 4" long or even having one in your pocket.
