Hillary Clinton’s former vice-presidential candidate, Tim Kaine, stands to lose his Senate seat in a humiliating defeat to Republican challenger, Corey Stuart, which would make him the second single-term Democrat senator. True-to-form, the junior Virginia Senator has opened his 2018 re-election campaign with a false ad touting his “support for the military and Virginia families.” However, Kaine’s actual public record tells a substantially different story.
The Minnesota left-wing liberal has a long history of deceit, corruption and outright lies. Nothing is off-limits for this political chameleon. Tim Kaine has demonstrated that he will use any low-ball scheme, rhetorical ruse, or sleight-of-hand trick to gain and hold political power. Here are but a few of his stellar accomplishments.
As Richmond’s mayor, Kaine illegally funneled $6,000 to the ambitiously-named Million Mom March anti-gun demonstration. When outrage ensued, he repaid the funds, although not from his personal resources.
As Lieutenant Governor, Kaine lied about the state budget, seeking big increases in education funding so that Kaine could provide a quid pro quo to the Virginia Education Association (V.E.A.) for their political support. But the Commonwealth passed a fiscally-sound budget that did not include extravagant increases. For this, Kaine falsely accused the Republican majority in the General Assembly of failing to perform its constitutional responsibility to “adequately fund public education.”
While he was Virginia’s governor, Kaine received $300,000 in gifts and travel according to a Washington Post report. He pushed hard for “universal pre-K” despite widespread public opposition. When the General Assembly cut the plan from the budget, he launched a pilot program. Universal pre-K is a luscious dream of liberals that is disastrous for parents and the public. Democrats desperately want this policy at the federal level because it would give liberals in government-run daycare centers the ability to interfere with the moral codes of kids, which psychologists tell us, is fully formed by age six.
Kaine claims to support the military, however, his notable initiatives include pressuring the U.S. Air Force to make accommodations for Sikhs to wear turbans and compelling the armed services to permit so-called “transgenders” to openly serve in the military. Kaine supported drastic Obama administration defense cuts, but now attacks Corey Stuart for opposing the bloated $4 trillion dollar federal budget that Democrats demanded last year. He persists in calling for increases to failed Obamacare programs and condemns the Trump administration’s efforts to replace wasteful regulations with something that works at an affordable cost. All Democrat plans have one goal—the consolidation of power over the people.
Between now and November 6th, we can expect Kaine to trot out his phony faith credential like a circus pony in order to endear himself to politically independent Christians. We’ve heard it all before. Senator Kaine’s professions of “faith” are paper thin and purely symbolic. He will exaggerate his brief mission trip to Honduras with the Jesuits while ignoring his betrayal of the pro-life Catholic Church and the Bible’s condemnation of homosexuality and other forms of sexual perversity.
