According to the Brussels document, no later than January 1, 2027, owners of commercial buildings in Estonia are required to conduct electric wiring in their parking lots for future connection of charging stations for electric vehicles. The requirement applies to all parking lots with more than 20 seats. If the building is being built or is undergoing renovation, then an electric cable must be provided for every fifth parking space.The innovation will cost taxpayers a total of 2 billion euros, while electric vehicles in Estonia are less than 10 thousand pieces.
