Conventional food.

‘Healthy’ food.

It’s got less fat?

Less calories?

Less gluten?

Less flavor?

You know what most of these ‘healthy’ foods don’t have less of?

They’re loaded with pesticides, hormone disruptors, and synthetic junk your body never asked for.

(It’s said to be the glyphosate sprayed on the food that is causing people to be allergic to ‘gluten’. So it would seem they’re not allergic to gluten at all, but to the RoundUp sprayed on food. But they don’t want to mention that. That would kill a multi-million (billion?) deal with Monsanto. Just blame gluten.)

Think that heart-healthy wine you enjoy occasionally is pure?

That shiny apple might’ve been sprayed with any of 400 chemicals. If it’s not organic certified, it probably has RoundUp sprayed on it.

Even worse, nutrients in conventional produce have dropped up to 76% since Grandma’s time.

What’s the answer to this?

Organic.

Organic options, are clean, richer in nutrients, and just plain better for you (and usually taste way better).

You’ll know if it’s organic if it has the official circle USDA Organic logo on it:

It’s usually green:

When you see that logo, thats about as close as you can get to a promise of “no poison in this” without growing it yourself.

Another way to look at that logo is: Bill Gates didn’t tamper this food.

“But it’s expensive!”

You can buy organic carrots for $1.19

Lots of organic cereal is about the same price as the normal RoundUp sprayed options:

Yes, some items will cost more, like dairy.

But view the lower price of non-organic dairy and foods like this:

BIG FOOD: “Hey, we’ll sell you this food at a cheaper price…if you let us spray it with chemicals. Deal?”

No. No deal.

You’re awake and have broken out of the matrix that controls what society thinks.

Now eat like it.

I write this just to share that since I made the switch to eating organic 4 months ago, my body doesn’t have odd aches anymore. Had it for years, waking up feeling pain here, and an ache there.

It was frustrating.

The only change I made was 1. organic food & 2. trying not to eat anything that has any form of vegetable oil in it.

Do those 2 things and call me in the morning. Well, call me in 2 months. Well, don’t call me, leave a comment instead.

Better For Your Health

Conventional/non-organic food and beauty products are laden with toxic and carcinogenic chemicals, pesticides, contaminants, GMOs, artificial/synthetic ingredients, and harmful preservatives. Whilst that apple at the supermarket might look fairly harmless, chances are it’s been sprayed by at least one of the 400 chemical pesticides routinely used in conventional farming. And that cream you’re about to rub on your face? Is probably full of hormone-disrupting parabens, sulfates, phthalates, heavy metals, petroleum waxes, nano-particles, synthetic fragrance/colours, TEAs, DEAs, Silicones and PEGS. No wonder the incidence of auto-immune disease seems to have skyrocketed the past few years.

Quite apart from the nasties, conventional products don’t have much of the good stuff left in them either. Statistics indicate that levels of trace minerals in conventional produce have fallen by up to 76% since 1940. That means there’s only a quarter of the goodness in that pile of peas vs what your Gran was consuming!

In contrast, organic products are on average 25% more nutrient dense than their conventional counterparts, according to a comprehensive recent review of 97 studies. That means more vitamins, minerals, cancer-fighting antioxidants, and essential fatty acids per calorie consumed (and dollar spent). Did we mention they taste and feel better too?

Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education reports:

When farmers explain why they decided to make the transition to organic, they typically mention the importance of price premiums, environmental stewardship, health concerns related to antibiotic and pesticide use, and personal values.

Charlie Johnson, who has been farming organically for decades near Madison, S.D., says he inherited his father’s principles when he took over the farm from him in 1980. “His belief is that the soil is a community, and for that community to be viable, it needs to be healthy,” Johnson says.

As a result, they began using practices that emphasize soil health and biodiversity, and stopped using synthetic pesticides and fertilizers on their farm, which is 2,400 acres and produces corn, soybeans, oats and alfalfa.

Today, Johnson’s view on organic agriculture goes beyond his father’s environmental values to embrace a focus on people and community. Because his approach to farming is management intensive—for example, through his use of a six-year crop rotation, mechanical weed control and composted manure—he works with his two brothers and his adult son as partners.

Yield and Economics

The current high demand for organic products is a big motivator for many, and this sizable market is a sign of the USDA National Organic Program’s (NOP) success. Thirty years after Congress passed the Organic Foods Production Act, which established uniform national standards for producing, handling and certifying organic foods, U.S. organic sales have grown steadily each year and soared to new highs in 2020 with the COVID pandemic. According to the Organic Trade Association (OTA), sales jumped by a record 12.4% between 2019 and 2020, from $55.1 billion to $61.9 billion. It marked the first time that total sales of organic food and non-food products surpassed $60 billion.

Even ‘King’ Charles ensures that he only eats organic BUT…

he just gave his approval for gene-modified food be pushed on the British and make sure the labels don’t mention it.

Make the switch and notice the difference.

As for fast food, it’s not the same food you ate years ago.

As for eating shiny waxy fruit? It’s best to wash off whatever is on it.

Your grocery store should have something like this:
