Far from being a tribute to his own narcissism, the whole event stands in stark contrast to the narcissism of both Obama AND Biden.

You never heard them making those allegations about the hubris of Joe-‘Bama.

For Biden, we’ve got examples like looking at his watch during the dignified transfer ceremony that followed as a direct consequence of the disastrous f*** up of his orders of how to wrap up in Afghanistan, and do it in time for that 20th Anniversary of 9/11 photo op. To say nothing of Joe’s legendary ability to shoehorn a mention of his dead son into almost ANY conversation, however false and inappropriate those statements may be in any given telling.

Obama’s examples are a little less on the nose, mostly involving how he would hijack the institutions of government to install a permanent deep state that could continue on doing what they do, oblivious to the consequences of any change in government or policy. But his own willingness to make everything about himself was central to his own tenure — from Rainbow-lights on the White House to the Beer Summit, to conspiring with Bennan to spy on Senate laptops in order to know what was going on with the waterboarding question, his harassing of political enemies (via the IRS, etc), and harassing journailsts. Even the Trayvon Martin case was about the ‘son he could have had’.

The press drone on and on about Trump’s birthday without bothering to ask if, unlike so many cynical politicians slithering their way through the corridors of power in DC, that Trump may actually, genuinely LOVE his country?

(Oh, right, drone. Droning American citizens. There’s another Obama example!)

Trump has made it pretty clear that he wants to go all-out for America’s 250th birthday celebrations. Why would he NOT kick it off with the commemoration of the day George Washington took his place at the head of the newly-minted Continental Army?

The day itself showcased uniforms and units from the entire 250 year history, not in the May Day Parade fashion that makes the lefts little hearts glow with pride, but one that brings to mind the unbroken chain of faithful defenders of America that stretches back to even before the official founding.

Here is Trump leading new recruits in the Oath as they begin their service as the next link in that unbroken chain.

Despite riots that have been orchestrated in other cities, including ‘credible threats of violence’ in Texas, and political shootings in Minnesota and Salt Lake City, it’s surprising anyone showed up at all. Folks opted to stay away from the bleachers, but some overhead crowd shots of the street indicate a pretty good showing. As does this one:

We’ll leave squabbling over the ‘real’ numbers to people who care more about that sort of thing.

Fetterman, strangely, was one of the few willing ana able to put politics aside and see this for what it really was — a celebration of those who stand between the American population and any who would threaten the country or its interests abroad.

And you remember how Obama lit the White House up like a rainbow flag?

Trump had a very different use for those floodlights.

For a guy hellbent on making it all about himself… he sure does spend a lot of time bragging on everyone else.

And if you really want to see Dems’ heads explode, ask them to compare how many times Trump talks about I, me, my in his speeches compared to Obama. It’s not even close. But somehow TRUMP is the one obsessed about himself, and about using power to push an unspoken agenda.

Nope. He wants to Make America Great Again. As opposed to that other guy who never quite got around to describing the particular bluepring of how he wanted to ‘fundamentally transform’ the country whose constitution he swore to defend and uphold.
