In the beginning, Virginia was the core of America, home to great patriots like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, George Mason, and Patrick Henry. Then came moonbattery. In only a quarter of a millennium, Virginia has degenerated to the point that rage-mongering moonbat Abigail Spanberger has been elected governor. Having seized power, Democrats are predictably turning every dial all the way left.

Greg Price lists a few of the bills they have introduced already, including:

• Guarantee illegal aliens free education.

• Make it illegal to hand count ballots.

• “Assault weapons” and large capacity magazine ban.

• Ban the arrest of illegal aliens in courthouses.

• Replace Columbus Day with “Indigenous Peoples Day.”

Taxes are to be raised left and right.

Not the Bee has more, including:

• The new amendment that allows abortion up until the MOMENT OF BIRTH.

• A law that prohibits the government from considering white contractors for jobs under $100,000, and allows the government to choose non-white/female contractors even if their bids are 5% higher.

• New car taxes to add to the existing car taxes.

• The establishment of a de-facto gun-control agency.

• Increasing offshore windmills by 500%.

• Unlimited taxpayer grants to help government employees buy fancy houses.

• The absolute insane extent of the bans on common firearms.

At least the commonwealth’s decay is good news for the criminals who run rampant in deep blue states. Via Virginia Mercury:

Members of the Virginia Crime Commission voted overwhelmingly Tuesday to endorse legislation stripping all mandatory minimum sentences from state code.

The sweeping proposal, which lawmakers plan to introduce when the General Assembly convenes later this month, would eliminate mandatory jail and prison terms attached to 224 offenses that range from drunken driving to child rape.

Abigail Spanberger has ushered in a new host of progressive policies that have been heavily criticized by Republicans, including repealing an executive action by her predecessor that now forbids local and state law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration authorities.
