A couple weeks ago, we brought you an infuriating story about an elderly veteran who was severely injured after being pushed onto the subway tracks in New York City by an illegal immigrant.

If you missed it, here’s our original report:

Honduran Migrant Arrested After Shoving 83-Year-Old Veteran Onto NYC Subway Tracks

Now, we have a very sad update to bring you.

83-year-old Air Force veteran Richard Williams has passed away from the injuries sustained during the terrible attack.

Here are the tragic details:

OUTRAGE: An 83-year-old U.S. Air Force veteran and grandfather, Richard Williams, has tragically died from his injuries after a four-time deported Honduran illegal alien with 15 prior arrests randomly shoved him onto the New York City subway tracks, according to The New York Post.

New York Post: “His alleged attacker, Honduran national Bairon Hernandez, 34, was arrested March 10 — and his charges have been upgraded to murder following Williams’ death, court records show.”

ZERO outrage or sympathy from Ugandan-born socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

As you may remember from our original story, Williams suffered bleeding to his brain from the fall.

He only survived thanks to a man named Jhon Pena, who was also pushed onto the tracks but was able to put his own injuries aside and pull Williams back up onto the platform with him.

The evil, illegal Honduran migrant who pushed him, Bairon Hernandez, had a long criminal record with at least 15 charges.

Thankfully, he is being charged with murder for Williams’ death.

More from The New York Post:

Hernandez, 34, was arrested March 10 at a homeless shelter and initially charged with attempted murder, attempted assault, assault and reckless endangerment.

He was indicted on upgraded charges of second-degree murder following Williams’ death, and was set to be arraigned in Manhattan Supreme Court on March 30, according to DA Alvin Bragg’s office.

Prosecutors had said Williams was left “brain-dead,” following the harrowing unprovoked attack.

One of this three daughters, Debbie Williams, told The Post days after the attack her father, a retired US Air Force pilot, was not likely to pull through.

The medical examiner declared his death a homicide.

Williams “loved the streets of New York” and traveling in the transit system. He’d been happily married for 55 years and had just won a five-year battle with prostate cancer six months ago, giving him a new lease on life, his family has said.

“He overcame everything,” another daughter, Diane Williams, 58, previously said. “He got re-birthed. He felt optimistic about him and his wife, who he adores tremendously.”

“My father is a phenomenal human being and nobody deserves being pushed like that,” Debbie Williams had said — along with some choice words for his accused killer.

“I want him to go to the Venezuela prison, the worst place he could go to,” she said. “I want him to suffer for the rest of his life. Prison justice would be appropriate.”

The US Department of Homeland Security said Hernandez had past arrests for aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and domestic violence.

He had been deported from the US four times after entering the US illegally in 2008, but kept returning to the country illegally, according to the DHS.

His most recent deportation was in 2020 at the end of the first Trump administration. It’s unclear when he re-entered the country.

Hopefully, Bairon Hernandez will not get off easy in the New York court system…

In response to the news of Williams’ death, the DHS directly called for New York to not show any leniency to Hernandez:

Richard Williams, an Air Force Veteran and grandfather, has tragically died after he was shoved onto subway tracks by an illegal alien from Honduras, Bairon Posada-Hernandez.

Posada-Hernandez is a serial criminal and four-time deported illegal alien who NEVER should have been able to walk our streets and harm innocent Americans. He is now facing murder charges.

We are calling on New York sanctuary politicians to not release this murderer.

Please join us in praying for Mr. Williams’ family, friends, and loved ones.

This monster who killed an old veteran by pushing him onto subway tracks needs to get the maximum penalty.

Richard Williams’ family deserves justice.

Be sure to keep his loved ones in your prayers during this time of unimaginable grief and loss.
