We knew that following Donald Trump’s blockbuster announcement Thursday that he was killing the Environmental Protection Agency’s Obama-era “endangerment finding” would send liberals into a rage. The finding declared back in 2009 that greenhouse gases pose a threat to human health and the EPA had the right to regulate them, which gave the agency enormous power to kneecap the economy.

How dare the president try to unleash the full economic power of the United States and allow consumers to choose what they buy!

Sure enough, all the Usual Suspects are crying in their milk, and as if on cue, a certain former president thought we’d care about what he had to say:

Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change — all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.

“We’ll be less safe,” Obama declared. We’ll also be igniting the economy, cutting down on burdensome regulations, and ensuring we have enough power to fuel future generations. As our Jennifer Oliver O’Connell wrote Thursday, the ruling is also a major setback for the climate grifting machine:

The climate zealots and those who profit from it, which is essentially any Democrat, climate consultancy class, or left-wing environmental organization, are melting down, with panties in a wad and lawsuits being threatened. Like the swift pull of a Jenga block, removal of the endangerment finding is crashing the entire climate change boondoggle to the ground.

Trump Kneecaps EPA With ‘Largest Deregulatory Action in American History’

Speaking of climate grifters, who else do you think would be incensed at Trump’s unleashing the brakes on America’s energy? You got it, the OG, Al Gore:

His tweet continues, but I don’t feel a strong urge to print it here. Poor Al: Obama’s tweet got tens of millions of views, but his has barely broken 100K.

And Trump is “trying to deny science and reality?” Seriously, coming from you, Al? Might went to check your resumé:

MR. SCIENCE: 20 Years Later, Al Gore Learns an Inconvenient Truth: He Was Wrong About Virtually Everything

What would a liberal climate cry-fest be without California Gov. Gavin Newsom, though? His state is so buried in red tape, regulation, and failure that businesses and residents are leaving in droves. Naturally, he’s really, really sad that Trump is neutering an independent federal agency’s ability to slam the brakes on our economic power:

Here’s an inconvenient truth to these three: the endangerment finding put way too much power into the hands of agency bureaucrats and allowed them to dictate their bidding to the nation. Gore, Obama, and Newsom can go back to their multi-million dollar mansions and fly around on their private jets complaining about it, but it’s a bold move by Trump — one that is long overdue.
