White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt assured that President Donald Trump has no plans to waste a second of the next four years, saying he achieved more in the last day than former President Joe Biden‘s four years of leadership.

Leavitt, who became the youngest White House press secretary at age 27, joked on Fox News’s Fox & Friends that her “binder is in her brain” and that she would not rely on scripted answers when speaking to the press, as the Trump White House has “truth on our side.” She also assured that the press and voters would get to hear from the president “once again,” including a Tuesday afternoon announcement that Trump is scheduled to make related to infrastructure.

When pressed on what this announcement would entail, Leavitt opted not to “get ahead” of the president, instead only saying it would be “massive.”

“And it’s going to prove that the world knows that America is back. They have a commander in chief but also a negotiator-in-chief who will be in the Oval Office today. And foreign leaders around the world, investors from Silicon Valley to Wall Street to Main Street have confidence, again, in our economy and our markets and in President Trump because they know that here in America, he has promised to reduce taxes, to reduce regulation, to reduce energy cost, and to make America the envy of the world,” she said.

Leavitt also addressed Biden’s last-minute pardons granted to his family, which the former president issued Monday just before leaving the Oval Office. The White House press secretary deemed Biden’s pardon as an “admission of guilt,” citing how he repeatedly said his family did not commit crimes in the past but that the pardons proved he knew of their guilt. 

Despite this, Leavitt said the current administration is “looking forward now,” specifically at ending the nation’s weaponization of justice, which started with Trump’s recent pardons and commutations to Jan. 6 defendants convicted over the Capitol riot. Leavitt insisted that there were people who were “held hostage” by Biden’s justice department, which “turned a blind eye to real criminals.”

Trump stated in granting these pardons, the defendants were treated “very unfair” and that many of them had already “been in jail for a long time.”

Besides his planned announcement Tuesday afternoon, Trump is also expected to meet with several Republican congressional leaders, including Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). During the inauguration ceremony, Trump expressed enthusiasm for ushering in the “new golden age of America.”
