Trump announced on Truth Social that Ed Martin, who was the previous interim U.S. attorney in D.C., will be moving to the Department of Justice as its “Director of the Weaponization Working Group, Associate Deputy Attorney General, and Pardon Attorney.”

Former interim US Attorney Ed Martin has been appointed to three key roles at the Department of Justice, where he will oversee investigations into political weaponization under the Biden administration. The announcement comes just hours after the president announced that Martin, his nomination stalled in the Senate, would no longer be his candidate for the capital city’s top federal prosecutor. Senator Thom Tillis (photo above right)  refused to allow Ed Martin’s confirmation to be voted on by the full Senate.

“In these highly important roles, Ed will make sure we finally investigate the Weaponization of our Government under the Biden Regime, and provide much needed Justice for its victims. Congratulations Ed!” Trump wrote.

Treacherous Senate Republicans are going to wish Ed Martin stayed on as DC U.S. Attorney.

Martin will investigate the weaponization of government under the Biden DOJ and the many abuses of power by the DOJ and FBI under Biden. The media is lying about the weaponization of government because they directly participated in it.

Mr. Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that Martin appeared to lack enough support in the Senate needed for confirmation and he hoped to find another place for him at the Justice Department. Sen. Thom Tillis, a North Carolina Republican, said Tuesday that he would not vote to advance Martin’s nomination to the full Senate.

Bear in mind that these back stabbing Republicans voted for all of Biden’s disastrous nominees.

The announcement comes just hours after the president announced that Martin, his nomination stalled in the Senate, would no longer be his candidate for the capital city’s top federal prosecutor. Senator Thom Tillis refused to allow Ed Martin’s confirmation to be voted on by the full Senate.
RINO Senator Thom Tillis opposed Martin because of his defense of J6 political prisoners and he feared his own criminal prosecution.

“I was disappointed. A lot of people were disappointed, but that’s the way it works sometimes,” Mr. Trump said. “He wasn’t rejected, but we felt it would be very, it would be hard. And we have somebody else that we’ll be announcing over the next two days who’s going to be great.”
