The fashion magazine Vanity Fair has a new boss.
And, unlike his predecessor, the magazine’s new global editorial director Mark Guiducci wants to do a cover with First Lady Melania Trump.
It’s a great idea, but apparently, many of his woke staff are outraged and threatening to “walk out” if it happens!

“I will walk out the motherf–king door, and half my staff will follow me.” – Vanity Fair editor.
“We are not going to normalize this despot and his wife; we’re just not going to do it. We’re going to stand for what’s right.” – Staff member.

Reportedly, staffers say they would rather resign from their cushy jobs to work at a grocery store instead of allowing beautiful Melania Trump to grace the cover of the Vanity Fair magazine.
The Daily Mail has more:
Raging Vanity Fair employees have vowed to quit their jobs and work at a supermarket if First Lady Melania Trump is granted a spot on its cover.
‘I will walk out the motherf***ing door, and half my staff will follow me,’ a mid–level editor told the Daily Mail on Monday, hours after Semafor reported the magazine’s new global editorial director Mark Guiducci was trying to woo Melania to star on his cover.
‘We are not going to normalize this despot and his wife; we’re just not going to do it. We’re going to stand for what’s right,’ the staffer continued.
‘If I have to work bagging groceries at Trader Joe’s, I’ll do it. If [Guiducci] puts Melania on the cover, half of the editorial staff will walk out, I guarantee it.’
‘It sickens me,’ the staffer added. ‘Even the idea of it.’
Absolutely unhinged.
But, honestly, let them walk out.
It’s amazing how much hubris these people have, to believe that someone else would not be more than happy to take their jobs.
And hey, grocery stores always need new staff!
Although several staffers are threatening to quit over a potential Melania Trump cover, many others don’t believe they are serious about this.
Some more reasonable staff members at Vanity Fair say their co-workers are just blowing steam and will not follow through.
Per The New York Post:
Others, meanwhile, dismissed the outrage — insisting there’s no way employees would give up such a prestigious job out of protest.
“It’s all talk,” one employee said.
“If they put her on the cover, people will protest and gripe about it, but I don’t see anyone quitting such a prestigious job over that.”
“Honestly, there will be people who push back, but it’s ultimately Mark’s decision. He’s the one who will sink or swim over that choice, not the rest of us,” the employee added.
Whatever happens, happens.
Either way, this would be a first for Melania Trump.
While Melania has been featured on the cover of many top fashion magazines during her career as a model, she was intentionally excluded from them during President Trump’s first term.
Fox News noted:
Trump was notably excluded from Vanity Fair and Condé Nast’s Vogue during her husband’s first presidency, despite both magazines frequently spotlighting first ladies. She did appear on the cover of Vanity Fair Mexico in 2017.
Former First Lady Michelle Obama appeared on Vogue’scover three times during President Barack Obama’s two terms in office and Jill Biden landed two Vogue covers during President Joe Biden’s term.
So petty.
While I’m sure Melania Trump could care less about whether or not she’s on the cover of any fashion magazine, it would still be nice to see.
And, I’m sure a Vanity Fair issue featuring Melania Trump would quickly break records with how many copies it sells!
