The proper DEI credentials render all other qualifications irrelevant. Q Manivannan is not only not British, he does not hold British citizenship or even permanent residency. Legally, he is not authorized for full-time work in the UK. Yet he has been elected as a Member of the Scottish Parliament running on the Green Party ticket.

Modernity reports:

The candidate, Dr Q Manivannan (they/them), arrived in the UK a few years ago as a PhD student and was selected for the Green list in Edinburgh and the Lothians East. Scotland’s rules – relaxed under the [Scottish National Party] – explicitly allow non-citizens to stand for election and take office.

Presenting what moonbattery-addled Scotland chooses to be ruled by:

He has this much right:

“This is what diversity looks like in power.”

For more on what diversity looks like in power, consider another Q Manivannan quote:

“Goddamn White people.”

Q Manivannan ran on a platform of trans pride. In the video below, he explains that this means being “free of shame.” No wonder moonbats voted for him. He goes on to suggest Cultural Marxism in general is “transness” and to shout, “Free Palestine!”

Regarding his hero Mridul Wadhwa — via Sky News:

The chief executive of a sexual assault support service has stood down after a damning review found it failed to protect women-only spaces.

Mridul Wadhwa – a trans woman – resigned from Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre (ERCC) after a Rape Crisis Scotland (RCS) report found [he] “did not understand the limits on [his] role’s authority” and “failed to set professional standards of behaviour”.

Mr. Wadhwa of India was found to be abusive toward those deemed not fully compliant with transsexual ideology.

Combining open borders with transsexual militancy produces exotic characters. Giving them power is not likely to end well.

On a tip from Franco.
