A peaceful protest against the perceived Islamification of New York City was almost marred by terror over the weekend when two (alleged) Islamists attempted to blow it up and cause a mass casualty event. And I know what you’re thinking. Obviously, the peaceful protesters were asking for it, right? Judging by the response made by NYC Mayor The Zohran, he at least seems to think so.

Thnakfully the IED didn’t detonate, try as the two ISIS-trained extremists might:

The two pro-Muslim fanatics – Ibraham Kayumi, 19, and Emir Balat, 18 – both self-radicalized in recent years and traveled to Turkey and other terror-training hot spots, law enforcement sources close to the case told The Post. The pair admitted to cops after getting busted at the violent demonstration outside the mayor’s residence on Saturday afternoon that they also watched ISIS videos and tossed the bomb at right-wing agitators because they felt the agitators insulted their religion, the sources said.

The homemade device consisted of sports drink bottles filled with triacetone triperoxide, or TATP, a substance favored by terrorists and known as “Mother of Satan” — which is so volatile that it typically doesn’t require a fuse to go off, they said.

That sounds pretty bad, and it could have been worse. When a terror attack is foiled in the city, you can expect a strong statement from The Zohran. Here’s what he initially had to say.

Oh, by the way, as El Pres makes reference to, Mrs. The Zohran was discovered to have quite the social media history celebrating the October 7th terror attacks. But this isn’t about her. This is about him sounding angry about the tens of people protesting as opposed to the two Islamists who attempted to murder them and others. Jake Lang gets named dropped. Ibraham Kayumi and Emir Balat do not.

I don’t know what a Jake Lang is. Apparently, I’m supposed to because something something “January 6th” and “pardon,” but I’ve never paid much attention to the extended MCU (MAGA Cinematic Universe). For the sake of argument, let’s call him a dickhead who says mean words. The people attempting to murder the dickhead who says mean words AND AS MANY OTHERS IN HIS GENERAL FASCILITY are the bad guys. Actions > words.

Yet if you only knew about what happened from The Zohran, you would be led to believe the protesters had to do with the explosives and NOT the upper-middle-class teens who came from Pennsylvania, intent on causing terror.

And I know this next part might surprise you, but others are following The Zohran’s lead:

The media has moved on from the attempted Islamic terror attack in NYC to claims that Trump is going to put boots on the ground after reinstituting the draft because he says he refuses to rule anything out — which, point of fact, DUH! — when it comes to Iran. To the extent the attempted Islamic terror attack in NYC will even be mentioned, no doubt it’ll be focused on shouting down Scott Jennings as he attempts to point out that the two amateur jihadists are the villains here.

Three months in, and The Zohran is who we thought he’d be.
