Blame for the failure of two questionable stopgap spending bills isn’t being laid at the feet of an outraged American public, it’s being aimed at Elon Musk and his X social media platform.

The recently tanked continuing resolutions have sent waves of angst rippling among the D.C. establishment as their usual political machinations have failed to pass an emergency funding bill before the holidays.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) says it’s not a matter of Musk preventing Congress from doing its job, it’s the American people becoming more fully aware of a spending disaster that has been decades in the making and refusing to play along with the creators of that problem.

Establishment figureheads like Nancy Pelosi have claimed that:

On the eve of a deadline to fulfill our responsibility to meet the needs of the American people by funding the government, unelected billionaire Elon Musk has ordered his puppet President-elect and House Republicans to break the bipartisan agreement reached by House and Senate Democrats and Republicans to keep government open.

Pelosi assumes that the “needs of the American people” can only be met when their government is racking up as much debt as possible on things like a new football stadium in D.C., renewed funding for dubious government programs, ongoing foreign military entanglements around the world and a future pay raise for members of Congress.

The failed continuing resolutions also contained a renewal of the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act and provisions to thwart transparency by allowing Congress to block subpoenas for House data such as emails.

Due to establishment media indifference, these and other unpopular aspects of the continuing resolutions might have remained out of sight and out of mind if not for being made brought into the light of day on Musk’s X social media platform.

This free-flow of unapproved information has put Musk in the crosshairs of the D.C. establishment which can’t make up it’s mind whether Trump is a dictator or Musk’s puppet.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) questioned which branch of the government Musk belongs to and was quickly put in her place by a poster on X who reminded her that Musk is part of the people, by whose power a legitimate government is called into existence for the purpose of protecting their inherent rights–including freedom of speech.

The fear that the uniparty pushes over a potential government shutdown is likely based in its own fear that the American people may soon realize how little we need our bloated bureaucracies.
