Remember when Democrats screeched that insurrections were a bad thing? That was back before they started to look real:
Virginia Senator Mark Warner … said in an interview with MSNBC that he hopes that “uniformed military” may “save” the country from Trump’s presidency.
This apparent call for a military coup is consistent with fellow senators encouraging servicemembers to disobey orders, followed by suggestions that they will be punished if they don’t once Democrats regain power.
Warner’s call for insurrection came wrapped in childish insults and the laughable lie that Trump and Pete Hegseth disrespect the military but is still significantly more alarming than a demonstration against election fraud getting a little out of hand on January 6:
Sen. Mark Warner: “I think, in many ways, the uniformed military may help save us from this President.”
They’re now just openly calling for military coups against President Trump. pic.twitter.com/JUHiWK0y1o

Key quote:
“The uniformed military may help save us from this president and his lame people like Hegseth because I think their commitment is to the Constitution and obviously not to Trump and I expect [Admiral Frank] Bradley to adhere to that.”
On the contrary, their commitment is to Trump in accordance with Constitution, per which he is the top of the chain of command. But until they regain power, Democrats are opposed to civilian control of the military.
Even if they fail to overthrow the elected president, Democrats want to at least take out Hegseth. Their intense hostility toward the Secretary of War is a great honor, proving that he is the right man for the job.
