Ok, this is really wild….

I don’t how I forgot about this but in August 2023 we brought you this report of Matt Gaetz predicting with a massive twinkle in his eye that President Trump would reclaim the White House and we’d have an Attorney General Matt Gaetz.

Our original report from 2023:

Matt Gaetz Claims Trump Could Name Him Attorney General: ‘The World is Not Ready’

In the clip, Matt Gaetz is talking about how Congress making criminal referrals is not a useless venture….

Sure, Merrick Garland won’t pursue them, but Gaetz notes that criminal referrals are good for 5 years and then he says with a huge twinkle in his eye that we could just get a Trump win followed by an Attorney General Matt Gaetz!

Here it is, check out this Tweet from August 12, 2023:

I just posted the video here as a backup so the date is November 2024 but it’s the same video as above, for safe keeping in case “Republicans Against Trump” takes this down:

While some people like to disparage Matt Gaetz or even claim he’s not an attorney, I think they vastly underestimate him….

Yes, Matt Gaetz is an attorney. He earned his Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School in 2007 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2008. Before entering politics, Gaetz practiced law in Florida for approximately eight years, during which he handled various cases and argued at least seven in his home county. He also served on the House Judiciary Committee during his tenure in Congress.

Here’s more from Mediaite back in 2023:

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) suggested on Friday that he could be appointed attorney general if former President Donald Trump is reelected to the White House in 2024.

During an interview with Newsmax guest host David Harris Jr. about the investigation into Hunter Biden’s business dealings and allegations of corruption against the Biden family, Gaetz said:

I don’t ascribe to the theory that we just have to surrender sending criminal referrals because somehow Merrick Garland will never prosecute them. For many of the crimes that we are observing, the statute of limitations is five years, and so we could send criminal referrals to the Department of Justice, we go take the White House back, and you never know, David, it may be an Attorney General Matt Gaetz down the road or someone of my liking who will be there to actually enforce the law and provide the accountability. Not just the vision, but the actual accountability.

Harris replied, “I like that. I like that. Attorney General Matt Gaetz. You kidding me?”

“The world is not ready, probably,” Gaetz declared. “Certainly Senate confirmation wouldn’t be, but you know, a boy can dream.”

The only remaining hurdle now is whether he will be confirmed:

Perhaps that’s where their “Little Secret” comes into play?

Is This President Trump’s “Little Secret”?
