Earlier this week, the Los Angeles Chief of Police informed the woke City Council that he could not inform criminal aliens if ICE was on the way to detain them, as this would be considered obstruction of justice. However, the Seattle Chief of Police has yet to get this memo, despite taking an oath to uphold the law.

OMG. I seriously cannot handle the background music! That alone should be illegal — the level of cringe is enough to make me want to rip my hair out.

According to KUOW:

Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes told City Council members Tuesday that he plans to stand up for the First Amendment rights of Seattle residents and expects to be jailed at some point for making that stand.

LOL. How pathetic. As if this even comes close to the left going after Trump over things that aren’t even real. He really thinks he’s as important as the President of the United States. Pathetic. Just absolutely pathetic.

If he’s arrested for obstructing federal immigration enforcement, that’s on him. And the fact that he tries to blame the right for it shows a level of arrogance no one was prepared for.

“I will do everything in my power to protect anyone in Seattle from anyone who comes to this city with the intention to hurt them or inhibit their First Amendment rights,” Barnes told Council members during a Public Safety Committee meeting that is part of his confirmation process. “What that means is at some point I will probably go to jail and be in prison because we have an administration that has threatened to jail politicians… and has threatened to jail a governor.”

Yeah, that’s not actually what happened.

Firstly, the fact that the left is now acting like their politicians are martyrs and pretending Trump wants to lock them up shows a level of self-unawareness that really should not be legal.

Secondly, Trump is not locking people up for exercising their First Amendment rights, and the least he can do is back up that claim with even one example — but he can’t, because it doesn’t exist.

Thirdly, what he really means is that he will do everything in his power to obstruct federal immigration enforcement — and that alone is deeply troubling for the very people he claims to protect and serve.

Maybe one day officials in Seattle will actually protect the people they took oaths to protect. But until then, don’t hold your breath.
