Remember how Biden went to court to keep Texas from erecting fences to keep illegals out? The fight Dems are picking now is even nuttier than that… how DARE Trump help our troops!

The thing that makes a shutdown a ‘shutdown’ is how each government department runs out of money to do what happens day by day. Some essential employees have to work without getting paid. Other functions grind to an absolute halt.

Soldiers are among those not getting paid when there is no confirmed budget.

Trump, in the middle of executing his historic peace deal with Israel, took time out to help look after his troops, directing Hegseth to look in the couch cushions of the defense department budget and find unspent money that can keep soldiers getting paid for just a little longer.

And wouldn’t you know it Dems are upset about that plan. The pain, after all, IS the point of their shutdown. Especially if they can gaslight the public int believing it’s somehow Trump’s fault that the 53 Republican senate votes fell short of the 60 votes needed to pass this budget.

Some Democrats and policy analysts say the move is likely illegal.

Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) was asked Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” whether the administration’s plan was legal.
“Well, probably not. Again, we just had a little conversation about the White House’s understanding of United States law, which is pretty tentative to say the best,” he said.
“I think to pay the military during a shutdown would require legislation; the Speaker of the House has taken that off the table,” Himes added. “So, I mean, is Donald Trump going to say a bunch of stuff? Yes, he’s going to say a bunch of stuff. But I don’t see anything moving.” —TheHill

Dems, who miraculously raided the piggy bank of pretty much every department to throw money at their flood-America-with-illegal-immigration initiative, for every conceivable need a cohort of tens of millions might possibly need — with so much of it miraculously managed by NGOs that just happened to be run by friends of the Democrats — are suddenly concerned about the proper rules of spending being followed?

Well, THAT’s easy enough to fix. Let’s go back to the regular rules of order, and pass a budget the old-fashioned way.
