Secretary of State Marco Rubio has just announced new restrictions against foreigners who have engaged in censorship.
The changes are effective immediately regarding the issuing of visas for travel to the United States by non-citizens.
Rubio made the announcement initially in a pair of posts to his X account just a short time ago.
Firstly, here are his no-nonsense comments when questioned by reporters on the implications:
JUST IN: Secretary of State Marco Rubio announces foreign officials and individuals that attempt to CENSOR Americans for exercising their free speech rights will have their visas DENIED.

The sheer audacity of the Secretary of State openly stating that we can DENY a visa to someone —
I LOVE IT! I VOTED FOR THIS!
Coming to the United States is NOT a “right” that the rest of the world should somehow be afforded.
It is a privilege, and it can be revoked, just as Rubio stated.
Here are the pair of posts Rubio shared via his X account announcing the new restrictions:
For too long, Americans have been fined, harassed, and even charged by foreign authorities for exercising their free speech rights.
Today, I am announcing a new visa restriction policy that will apply to foreign officials and persons who are complicit in censoring Americans.…

Foreigners who work to undermine the rights of Americans should not enjoy the privilege of traveling to our country. Whether in Latin America, Europe, or elsewhere, the days of passive treatment for those who work to undermine the rights of Americans are over.

Here is the full text of his two-part post, pushing back against foreign attempts to intervene in the protected free-speech of Americans:
For too long, Americans have been fined, harassed, and even charged by foreign authorities for exercising their free speech rights.
Today, I am announcing a new visa restriction policy that will apply to foreign officials and persons who are complicit in censoring Americans. Free speech is essential to the American way of life – a birthright over which foreign governments have no authority.
Foreigners who work to undermine the rights of Americans should not enjoy the privilege of traveling to our country. Whether in Latin America, Europe, or elsewhere, the days of passive treatment for those who work to undermine the rights of Americans are over.
This coincides with a push that Vice President Vance initiated when he called out European leaders on exactly that issue.
He absolutely ripped the European censorship, putting the continent on notice that American friendship was contingent upon a few prerequisites, including an affinity for freedom as opposed to oppression.
The European leadership was not happy.
If you haven’t heard that HISTORIC speech… please take a minute.
It’s worth the time:
Along those same lines, Rubio hit back in today’s announcement, calling on foreign entities to end their assertion that they can overstep the freedoms of American citizens.
The State Department thus called the arrest warrants that have been issued under that pretense for American citizens exercising free speech online as “unacceptable”, according to a report in The Hill:
Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced a new visa restriction policy Wednesday targeting foreign nationals who are deemed “responsible for censorship of protected expression” in the U.S.
“Even as we take action to reject censorship at home, we see troubling instances of foreign governments and foreign officials picking up the slack. In some instances, foreign officials have taken flagrant censorship actions against U.S. tech companies and U.S. citizens and residents when they have no authority to do so,” Rubio said in a release.
The State Department called it “unacceptable” to seek arrest warrants on U.S. citizens or residents over posts on U.S. social media platforms while on U.S. soil.
“It is similarly unacceptable for foreign officials to demand that American tech platforms adopt global content moderation policies or engage in censorship activity that reaches beyond their authority and into the United States,” Rubio said.
This comes on the heels of YESTERDAY’S halt on all student visas as the vetting process is overhauled.
On Rubio’s orders, embassies stopped all student visa applications in their tracks across the globe, as reported by the New York Post:
The Trump administration is pumping the brakes on all foreign student visas and considering whether to vet new applicants based on their social media posts.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio ordered US embassies and consulates on Tuesday to pause any student visa applicant interviews, according to an internal cable obtained by Politico.
“Effective immediately, in preparation for an expansion of required social media screening and vetting, consular sections should not add any additional student or exchange visitor … visa appointment capacity until further guidance is issued [separate telegram], which we anticipate in the coming days,” the cable read.
Both the State Department and Department of Homeland Security have moved to strip thousands of visas from foreign students in recent weeks with mixed success.
While this change is logical and reasonable for the reasons given, there is the possibility that something else is afoot.
Could it be that the Trump Administration has gotten wind of what has been dubbed the next 9/11 attacks planned for the American homeland by a consortium of state-sponsored terror groups?
Former CIA Targeter and counter-terror analyst Sarah Adams has been spearheading that issue for some time, with the Biden Administration’s CIA and intel agencies refusing to abandon their faulty narratives for political reasons.
Here’s a quick overview of what has been going on right under the Biden Administration’s nose, and sometimes… with their help:
Now… it seems the al Qaeda & ISIS plot to create an army of trained terrorists with LEGIT PASSPORTS issued with faulty identifications may have just been disrupted.
Whether Rubio’s decision to increase the vetting standards under the pretense of fighting censorship is what they say it is, or possibly a covert attempt to thwart the next big attack on American…
I’m all for it.
It is high time America puts America first, rather than some fantastical progressive globalist idea of foreigners ‘rights’ holding sway.
