The fallout from the DOJ’s handling of the Epstein case is escalating…
Earlier, it was reported that Dan Bongino was threatening to resign as FBI Deputy Director if Attorney General Pam Bondi keeps her job.
Now, there are reports that Kash Patel is fully standing by Bongino.
Sources say he is also considering stepping down as FBI Director if Bongino goes.
White House Correspondent for Daily Wire stated:
MORE: Source close to DOJ says Kash Patel also wants Pam Bondi gone, and that he’d consider leaving if Bongino leaves. Also that there are more frustrations with other documents Bondi hasn’t released. https://t.co/e1WYXHxdRN

Megyn Kelly also confirmed:
Can confirm it’s Bongino or Bondi – and the pick is obvious.
Bondi must go.— Megyn Kelly (@megynkelly) July 11, 2025
According to reports, Dan Bongino got into a heated clash with Pam Bondi over the Epstein files during a private White House meeting earlier this week.
Collin Rugg broke it down:
NEW: Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino is “out of control furious” and will quit unless AG Pam Bondi is fired, according to NBC News.
“This destroyed his career. He’s threatening to quit & torch Pam unless she’s fired,” a source told the outlet.

NEW: Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino is “out of control furious” and will quit unless AG Pam Bondi is fired, according to NBC News.
“This destroyed his career. He’s threatening to quit & torch Pam unless she’s fired,” a source told the outlet.
Bongino and Kash Patel were asked during a meeting with Bondi and WH chief of staff Susie Wiles on Wednesday about a report that they were “dissatisfied” with the decision not to release any Epstein files.
The meeting then “got pretty heated,” according to a source who spoke with NBC.
“The source familiar with the perspectives of Patel and Bongino say they have been increasingly frustrated with Bondi over a variety of issues, not just the Epstein files,” NBC added.
President Trump reportedly has “not lost confidence in anyone involved.”
Dan Bongino was reportedly so angry with Bondi that he had to take a break and took today off.
Daily Mail reported:
President Donald Trump’s FBI head Kash Patel and deputy Dan Bongino are both ready to call it quits if Attorney General Pam Bondi keeps her job after the debacle over releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Bongino, the FBI’s deputy director, made the ultimatum after an epic clash with Bondi on Wednesday over the Justice Department’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, the Daily Mail can reveal.
The rift was so bad that Bongino took the day off work on Friday, leading some to think that he had already left his post, Axios first reported.
And now, an insider at the DOJ tells the Daily Mail that Bongino will quit if Bondi doesn’t step down or get fired.
‘I don’t see a scenario where Dan stays if Bondi remains,’ the insider said.
Meanwhile, Patel tells Daily Wire reporter Mary Margaret Olohan that the FBI head ‘also wants Pam Bondi gone, and that he’d consider leaving if Bongino leaves.’
Up until now, it wasn’t clear where Kash Patel was standing in all of this.
But now, it appears he is fully aligned with Dan Bongino — so much so that he could quit if Bongino leaves.
Here’s a complete summary of everything we know about what’s happening so far:
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, appointed March 17, 2025, is reportedly weighing resignation after a public clash with Attorney General Pam Bondi over the handling of files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
The DOJ concluded in a two‑page memo that:
Epstein died by suicide in August 2019,
no “client list” implicating powerful figures was found,
no evidence of blackmail was discovered,
no grounds existed to open new investigations
Bondi had earlier suggested significant documents, including a client list, were “sitting on her desk,” but these claims were not supported by the memo’s findings.
Tensions came to a head over the release of surveillance video from Epstein’s jail cell, which:
skipped a crucial minute of footage,
showed signs of editing,
and did not fully satisfy Bongino or critics
Bongino reportedly took a personal day and hasn’t returned to work, fueling speculation about his departure—though he remains officially in his role.
FBI Director Kash Patel, aligned with Bongino on transparency, may also consider resigning if Bongino does.
Supporters from within the MAGA movement, including legal advocacy groups like Judicial Watch and right-wing influencers, have criticized Bondi, Patel, and Bongino for not delivering on promised revelations.
White House officials maintain that the investigation was thorough, that unity remains within the law‑and‑order team, and that no additional material can be released due to victim privacy and court seal orders.
Former FBI agent Kyle Seraphin speculated there may be further leadership turnover at the Bureau, including Bongino’s potential departure by year’s end.
Notably, this new report contradicts Fox News‘ earlier reporting that both Pam Bondi and Kash Patel were not planning on leaving anytime soon.

Could we really lose both Kash Patel and Dan Bongino over this?
Calls for Bondi’s resignation are growing even more in light of this new development:
Pam Bondi needs to go.
We stand with Kash and Bongino.

Pam Bondi absolutely has to go.
She has failed the American people and lied to us.
If Dan and Kash say she has to go, she has to go.
Simple as that.

Yeah, this is a total disaster waiting to happen. I hope Pam knows about this and does what is right.

But, others are calling for all three of them to go:
Why not both?

Patel is just as involved in the coverup & misinformation as anyone else.
