He praised Florida and called it a great honor in a post on Truth Social:

It has been brought to my attention that the Great State of Florida, which I won BIG three times, and where I am a proud Resident, has renamed an important four-mile stretch of Southern Boulevard, in Palm Beach County, to “PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP BOULEVARD.” Thank you to Palm Beach County, Governor Ron DeSantis, and all of Florida’s great State Lawmakers, on granting me this wonderful honor! I LOVE FLORIDA!

This is awesome!

What a great way to honor one of the greatest presidents in U.S. history!

Last month, Gov. DeSantis signed the designation to rename the road in President Trump’s honor.

Today, Palm Beach County approved that plan.

Palm Beach County has signed off on a plan to rename a stretch of road in honor of President Donald Trump — adding the latest local thoroughfare to have a president as its namesake.

County commissioners voted Tuesday to approve the change to part of Southern Boulevard, a road that runs west to east through various communities, ending on the east side at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home. The portion between Kirk Road and South Ocean Boulevard will be called “President Donald J. Trump Boulevard.”

Southern Boulevard will be the latest road in South Florida to be named after Trump. Hialeah’s Palm Avenue was designated as “President Donald J. Trump Avenue.”

The Hill shared a White House spokesperson’s statement regarding the road name change:

White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers said in a statement to The Hill the president is honored by the designation. Trump officially changed his residency from New York, where he was born, to Florida in 2019.

“The great state of Florida is honoring President Donald J. Trump, whose beautiful Mar-a-Lago Club is a long-standing staple in the Sunshine State,” Rogers said. “Renaming this road to ‘Donald J. Trump Boulevard’ commemorates his iconic legacy and the historically significant moments that have made this President the greatest of all time.”

“The President will always be grateful to Floridians for their unwavering support as MAGA loyalists, who voted for him all three times,” she added.
