Okay, it’s safe to say Elon and President Trump’s friendship is done for now, at least.

There may be reconciliation in the future, but right now, the two are throwing insults at one another on X and Truth Social.

The feud began shortly after President Trump told the press that his friendship with Elon Musk looks like it has come to an end after Musk called for lawmakers to ditch the big Beautiful Bill, which Trump has backed.

Musk responded with a slew of posts on X and claimed Trump wouldn’t have won the election without his support.

Musk later called Trump ungrateful.

Now, Trump has fired off several posts on Truth Social responding to Musk.

In one of the posts, he called Musk “Crazy” and continued that Musk was “wearing thin” and he asked him to “leave.”

CEO Elon Musk “CRAZY” and threatened to cut his companies’ government contracts as the two men feuded over a major tax bill.

“Go ahead, make my day,” Musk promptly responded.

In addition to leading the electric-vehicle maker Tesla, Musk’s businesses include the space exploration and satellite-communication company SpaceX, artificial-intelligence company xAI, tunnel-digger The Boring Company, tech company Neuralink and the social media site X.

Tesla’s share price, which was already trading sharply lower, tanked after Trump’s latest comments.

The stunning blow-up between the world’s richest man and the president of the United States comes less than a week after they swapped compliments during an Oval Office send-off celebrating Musk’s time leading the Department of Government Efficiency.
