The City of Portland has officially rolled out a new taxpayer-funded benefit: paid “Immigration, Naturalization, and Citizenship Leave” Human Resources Administrative Rule (HRAR) 6.15.

Instead of being escorted out of our country by the scruff of the neck, foreign invaders are allowed legal recourse. The intent is to use their sheer numbers to bog down the system so they cannot be expelled. Meanwhile, Americans are forced by their own government to give them free money.

City officials have now committed public funds to cover paid leave for immigration court proceedings—including deportation hearings while blocking basic oversight, all while the city is facing a $66 million shortfall.

This new privilege even applies to friends and relatives of those facing deportation hearings.

Consistent with Democrat transparency, employees are instructed to shield information regarding who is exploiting this new benefit and even not to communicate details via email.

In other words, Portland created a paid leave category tied directly to immigration enforcement matters while simultaneously ensuring the city cannot meaningfully inquire into why the leave is being used.

As in Minnesota, liberals have rigged the system to be exploited by our Third World conquerors.
