With adults are back in charge of the DOJ (and now the FBI) the Jim Comey-style culture of employing partisan games and targeting political enemies is come to an end.

That shift is already paying off. Not only is the border already becoming more secure than it has been in living memory of anyone enforcing the border, but we are making arrests to match.

Ted Cruz took an opportunity at CPAC to sit down with our newly-minted AG, Pam Bondi to talk about just how bad a mess she walked into and what’s changing under her leadership. In the middle of that conversation, she stops to make an announcement about a big bust that was made in cooperation with Strike Force Alpha not far from El Paso on the Mexican side of the border.

According to The United States Department of Justice, Mexican citizens Brian Alan Torres Gonzalez and Soledad Morales Nava were taken into custody for reportedly being part of a human smuggling operation based in Juarez and known for smuggling people from Central America into the U.S. through Santa Teresa.

The DOJ claims this organization uses current and former members of different Mexican drug cartels who also kidnapped undocumented migrants to coerce money from their families.

Torres Gonzalez and Morales Nava will be prosecuted in Mexico with evidence provided by U.S. authorities.

The arrests were made by the Mexico Attorney General’s Office “Fiscalía General de la República” (FGR) with the help of the DOJ’s Joint Task Force Alpha (JTFA). — CBS4Local

Working to put human smuggling teams in prison is a MASSIVE change from what we saw Garland, Mayorkas and the rest of the Biden Admin doing in letting these same traffickers (and their murderous criminal cartels) make money hand over fist by taking in thousands and sometimes tens of thousands for each person that flooded over our border in the past 4 years.
