It’s much, much too much. She must stop. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, a serious upgrade from Alejandro Mayorkas, needs to stop with the Ice Agent Barbie act. It’s embarrassing the seriousness of her position and the seriousness of the times we live in. We are in no way averse to extensions, false eyelashes or fabulous lipstick. Nor are we averse to ride-alongs on select ICE operations. However…be a responsible looking grown up.

I am probably going to take as much guff for this post as I did for ““Killer” Kristi Noem Shot A Dog, A Goat, And Her Career” and I am fine with that. Professional women in the top ranks don’t have that many examples to look up to. Megyn Kelly, on her Megyn Kelly Show, called the Department of Homeland Security Secretary out. From The Hill:

Right-wing political commentator Megyn Kelly slammed Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent “cosplay” during field operations.

Kelly, who praised Noem for doing a “great job” as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) secretary, argued the former South Dakota governor should do away with photo-ops while visiting various DHS agents and other officials.

“Why does she have to keep doing this? She’s doing a great job, her actual performance as DHS secretary, in my view, anyway, has been amazing,” Kelly said during a Wednesday episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast. “Just stop trying to glamorize the mission and put yourself in the middle of it as you cosplay ICE agent, which you’re not. I can’t stand these photo-ops.”

“She is an administrative policy person appointed by Trump because she was very loyal to him. Fine, but stop with the glam. She looks like I look right now, but she’s out in the field with her gun, being like, ‘We’re gonna go kick some a‑‑.’ No one wants you there,” Kelly added.

No, they don’t want her there. Even the best laid plans of ICE and men can go awry. Kristi Noem and her cosplay crowd are just more people the brave agents have to look out for. More from Miss Megyn:

My late Marine Father head would have exploded after seeing the photo of Noem pointing a gun at that agent’s head. From the Daily Beast:

The Washington Post’s military reporter Alex Horton, also an Iraq veteran, noted that Noem showed “bad muzzle discipline.”

“Noem is pointing the M4 muzzle at an agent with an open dust cover, indicating a chambered round. It’s the worst possible place to point it,” Horton wrote on X. “No one stopped her, including the agent to her left, who should know better but also has bad muzzle discipline.”

Other responses bashing Noem’s firearm handling came from a variety of sources, including Barstool hosts—“so many things wrong here but let’s start with not pointing the barrel of that rifle at your buddy’s head”—and popular Trump-aligned accounts.

“Why is Kristi Noem holding the g*n right at that agent’s head?” X user Texas Patriot wrote. “I like her, but this tells me she doesn’t know sh*t about g*ns.”

Criticism of the photo-op in general came from the right as well.

“Do we really need Kristi Noem cosplaying as a door-kicker?” podcast host Jesse Kelly asked. “What does this gain us? It’s clownish, unserious, and embarrassing. Everything doesn’t need to be a photo opportunity. Send rough men to get the barbarians and leave this stuff for Broadway. ICE has it covered.”

This is a particular failure of undisciplined women. Does the name Christine Todd Whitman, former Governor of New Jersey, ring a bell? Governor Whitman did a ride along in 1996. She wore a nice track suit. When offered the opportunity to frisk a detainee, she didn’t say no. It was such a bad look.

Career killer. Also, really disrespectful to the person being frisked. I am no latent Liberal and I don’t think we need to humiliate cretins when we arrest them. Take note, Kristi.
