In less that three heartfelt minutes Nicki Minaj torches the narrative demonizing Trump, showing and honoring his humanity in a way that the media NEVER does.
Any clown can ‘speak their truth’ when it happens to be exactly the same thing everyone else is saying. Real courage is when you stand up and say the things that would be objectionable to people who buy your tickets, sell your merch, and offer your big-dollar deals.
The funny part is, with her record-setting 49 chart-topping #1 songs on iTunes, shutting her down at this point would be a tough task even if the industry as a whole decided to try. If they agreed with what she’s saying, the View and Colbert would be tripping over themselves to book her and talk about the appearance this weekend.
But after this weekend, if she wasn’t already ‘dead to them’, she is now. This is even worse for their destroy Trump project than that time Jimmy Fallon tousled Trump’s hair.
Because she might be heard by the minorities whose anger the journos keep trying to gin up in a way that traditional Trump surrogates or right-of-center media sources might not.
Even little details like her inclusive language ‘he’s from Queens… like me’ pierces that carefully-manicured othering networks and print media have maintained in how Trump is portrayed on the news.
In showing up to TPUSA and putting a human face on a President the left have been trying to demonize as both a Nazi and Hitler, who is routinely called a racist and a bigot, or even (absent any evidence) a traitor and worse things than that, Nikci Minaj stood up and, with just a few words, put a pin in the balloon his detractors have been filling with such nasty rhetoric.
Not only is she not buying what the haters are selling. She respects and admires both Trump and his team and she is more than happy to tell us why.
.@NICKIMINAJ: “I have the utmost respect and admiration for our President. I don’t know if he even knows this, but he has given so many people HOPE that there’s a chance to beat the bad guys and to WIN… This Admin is full of people with heart and soul, and they make me PROUD.” pic.twitter.com/ZvF9hE4VcV

Proud to be an American?
We still have celebrities willing to say that? Well good for them.
