The Daily Mail reported more on the newly released video and provided insightful details:

Newly released footage showed a man trying to scale a wall in Tucson while wearing a similar backpack to the one Nancy Guthrie’s captor was seen with.

An unidentified bald man donning a gray zip-down jacket and blue jeans was seen taking off one backpack while another remained on his back around 1.53am local time on February 1, the same day the 84-year-old was reported missing.

He then appeared to try to get on the other side of the stone wall, but after a couple of moments of difficulty, he walked away.

On Thursday, TMZ reported the outlet received another ransom letter from Nancy’s captors, but this time with a threatening message about ‘not being taken seriously.’

Nancy, the beloved mother of Today Show host Savannah Guthrie, was last seen on January 31 after returning home from dinner and a game night with her other daughter, Annie.

The newest piece of evidence comes after bombshell footage showed a masked man at Nancy’s front door, fidgeting with the doorbell camera.

That man was seen wearing a black face mask, thick black latex gloves, and a black bookbag on his back. That clip marked the latest development in the missing persons case in over a week.

Yahoo News provided the latest update in the search for Nancy Guthrie:

The search for Nancy Guthrie entered its 12th day on Thursday as investigators say they have fielded thousands of tips after the release of surveillance footage taken from her doorbell camera, but appear no closer to solving the case.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department expanded its call for video from people within a two-mile radius of the 84-year-old’s home north of Tucson, Ariz., of any “suspicious activity.” The sheriff’s department also said that “several items of evidence, including gloves,” were recovered and are being submitted for analysis. It’s unclear whether authorities believe the gloves were the same as those worn by the person seen in the footage.

The FBI said that its agents conducted “an extensive search along multiple roadways” in Guthrie’s Catalina Foothills neighborhood on Wednesday. The search came hours after authorities released a man who was detained for questioning for several hours in connection with her apparent abduction. The man, a delivery driver who identified himself as Carlos, told reporters outside his home in Rio Rico that he had not heard of the Guthrie case but hoped police would solve it.

“I hope they get the suspect,” he said. “Because I’m not it.”

Officials say they have received more than 18,000 tips since the investigation began, including over 4,000 since doorbell camera images of what the FBI described as “an armed individual” on the morning of her disappearance were released.
