Many individuals within the MAGA base are not pleased with Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, alleging that she is secretly working toward the implementation of an amnesty plan for illegal aliens working on farms instead of deporting them.

The possible reason for taking such a course of action is to reduce the damage done to farmers who stand to lose workers, which could lead to a food supply shortage.

While Rollins herself has denied the idea of amnesty for farm workers in the country illegally, many are hesitant to believe her.

Rollins appeared on Fox Business’ “Mornings with Maria” on Thursday, where she said, “Listen, this president has been resolute on no amnesty, mass deportation — but there are programs currently within the government under Lori Chavez-DeRemer, our secretary, our great secretary of labor, the H2A visa program.”

“This president, his heart is with the farmers,” she told the show’s host. “It always has been. And we will work nonstop until we find the right solution, but it does not include amnesty and certainly moving toward the American workforce that he envisions.”

President Trump, however, seems to be hinting at the opposite of what Rollins is saying. Over the last several weeks, he has made remarks about finding a way to reduce the damage mass deportations have done to farms across the country.

“If a farmer is willing to vouch for these people in some way,” the president went on to say during an event in Iowa last week, “I think we’re going to have to just say that’s going to be good, right? We don’t want to do it where we take all of the workers off the farms.”

Last month, Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Our great farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long-time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace.”

“That is not good…Changes are coming!” Trump continued.

Many within the MAGA base have expressed discomfort with this idea, including former Trump official and “War Room” podcast host Steve Bannon.

Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, warned that if Trump bows to the pressure coming from the “ruling class” to stop deportations and grant amnesty, it could destroy the MAGA movement that led the way for him to have another chance in the White House.

“Literally the day before President Donald Trump was signing the ‘Big, Beautiful Bill,’ I got a couple phone calls from people that you would call members of the ruling class,” Kirk explained on the July 7 episode of The Charlie Kirk Show. “A lot of money and a lot of connections. They said, ‘Now, we need mass amnesty.’”

“If you want to break our coalition, go and push amnesty,” Kirk said during the episode. “That right there would be a complete collapse of everything that we have worked for, everything.”
