Neighborhood watch programs help prevent crime. But preventing crime is racist. Consequently, as the New York Post reports,

A woke Michigan city shelled out a staggering $18,000 to rip down hundreds of neighborhood watch signs after lawmakers branded them racist.

No towns are woker than those hosting left-wing colleges like University of Michigan.

More than 600 of the blue-and-white metal lawn signs were yanked from the ground in Ann Arbor this week after officials unanimously signed off on the whopping cost to scrap them, claiming they encouraged racial profiling and distrust toward people of color, according to lawmakers and local outlets.

Neighborhood watch signs are “expressions of exclusion,” according to Ann Arbor Mayor Christopher Taylor.

Better to let George Floyd types push their way into your house and potentially kill you for whatever they can find in your drawers than subject them to expressions of exclusion.

Where moonbattery prevails, sanity has no voice. The city council approved this lunacy by a vote of 10 to 0.
