MSNBC’s Jen Psaki admitted Tuesday that her network’s left-wing audience expects coverage of President Donald Trump and his administration that is “typically not going to be positive.”

Psaki, who served as former President Joe Biden’s first press secretary before leaving to join the far-left cable news network, offered the stunning, but ultimately unsurprising take during an appearance on “The Grill Room” podcast.

“We’re going to talk about what the opposing party is up to, in terms of Democrats, and we’re going to talk about future leaders and things,” Psaki told host Dylan Beyers.

“And, we’re also going to talk about Trump, and it’s typically not going to be positive. I don’t think anybody watching expects it to be positive, right? There is not like a North Star thing written on a card, and everybody does it slightly differently … that’s fairly the vibe.”

Psaki — a self-styled journalist — further noted that while she will occasionally have right-leaning guests on her program, she has never been instructed by network leadership to appeal to a right-wing audience or present their view points in an unbiased manner.

“I have not experienced this like, ‘You have to move to the center, you have to have Republicans on, you have to be more moderate’,” she continued. “Every show kind of has a North Star, but the vibe is, kind of, under the same umbrella.”

MSNBC recently promoted Psaki from a weekend gig to the network’s primetime 9 p.m. time slot

MSNBC recently announced that the former White House press secretary will be taking over the primetime 9 p.m. Eastern time slot as the network undergoes a massive restructuring ahead of an expected sale. The network announced earlier this year that longtime host Joy Reid and her “Reid Out” program would be cancelled after years of declining ratings, leading to a tearful exit just a few days later.

Additional cuts include weekend shows hosted by Katie Phang, Ayman Mohyeldin, Jonathan Capehart and Jose Diaz-Balart.
