President Trump is moving very fast on Greenland.

Earlier today, in his iconic speech in Davos, President Trump first confirmed he would not use force to take Greenland — so that card is off the table.

But immediately following he told Denmark and NATO that the United States has never asked anyone for anything, despite saving the world in World War II and defending Europe at the cost of billions of dollars per year ever since — but now we’re asking.  Now we’re asking to purchase Greenland.  Not take.  Not a gift.  But to purchase.

And he laid out a very simple ultimatum: Say yes and we will be very appreciative, or say no….and we will remember.

“We’ve never asked for anything else and we could have kept that piece of land and we didn’t sell. They have a choice. You can say yes, and we will be very appreciative — or you can say no and we will remember.”

ICE COLD!

Watch here:

You don’t have to be Tony Soprano to translate what that means….

It means you either play ball — fairly — with us the one time we’ve asked for anything in nearly 100 years or we will not be there to protect any of you going forward.

All these small, defenseless European countries sitting right next to Russia and China and the lunatics in the Middle East…

We’re an ocean away.  We’re fine.

But you?

We won’t be there.

In fact, we could simply drop out of NATO right now and save hundreds of billions of dollars that could go towards paying down our debt and eliminating the federal income tax.

That all sounds far superior to me!

In light of that ultimatum, only a few short hours later President Trump posted on TruthSocial that a new “deal framework” has been negotiated regarding Greenland:

Donald J. Trump ✅ + @realDonaldTrump

Based upon a very productive meeting that I have had with the Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte, we have formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic Region. This solution, if consummated, will be a great one for the United States of America, and all NATO Nations. Based upon this understanding, I will not be imposing the Tariffs that were scheduled to go into effect on February 1st. Additional discussions are being held concerning The Golden Dome as it pertains to Greenland. Further information will be made available as discussions progress. Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and various others, as needed, will be responsible for the negotiations — They will report directly to me. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

DONALD J. TRUMP PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Two things jump out to me right away….

One, he does not mention “purchasing” Greenland.  He just calls it a deal.  Maybe I’m reading too much into it and I hope I am, but we need to actually purchase and control it.

Two, he very specifically mentions not just Greenland but the ENTIRE Arctic Region.  This just got a lot bigger!

We will continue to monitor the negotiations and bring you updates as soon as we have them.
