White House officials blasted Somali refugees in Minnesota for pulling off the “single greatest theft of taxpayer dollars through welfare fraud in American history,” with at least 86 suspects – mostly from tight-knit Somali enclaves – looting over $1 billion from child feeding, homeless aid, and autism therapy programs.

Federal prosecutors say the scammers ran sham companies that billed the state for millions in fake social services across three massive fraud rings, pocketing cash meant for vulnerable Americans while Tim Walz’s Democrat machine looked the other way.

Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller said, “We believe the state government is fully complicit in this scheme, and we believe that what we uncover is going to shock the American people.” He warned the total haul will dwarf the reported $1 billion, noting 75 percent of Minnesota’s Somali population lives on welfare – a “significant undercount” of the burden on taxpayers. Investigators now probe if the stolen funds flowed to Somalia-based terror group Al-Shabaab, with Miller adding, “We’ve only scratched the very top of the surface of how deep this goes.”

Ilhan Omar, Tim Walz Photographed with Convicted Fraudster

The rot runs straight to Minnesota’s top Democrats. Rep. Ilhan Omar and Gov. Tim Walz posed for photos with Abdul Dahir Ibrahim, a Somali illegal grabbed by ICE Friday after decades dodging deportation. Convicted in Canada for asylum and welfare scams, Ibrahim lied on U.S. applications – claiming his sister and her kids as his own family – but a judge slammed his “complete lack of credibility.” Despite 2004 removal orders, he snagged Temporary Protected Status for a decade, racking up traffic tickets while Walz and Omar glad-handed him.

Omar’s ties go deeper: her 2018 victory bash was at Safari Restaurant, owned by Salim Ahmed Said, who prosecutors say swiped $5 million – and $16 million total – via “phantom meals” for kids that never happened. He blew it on a $2 million mansion and $9,000 monthly Nordstrom sprees.

Her ex-staffer Guhaad Hashi Said pled guilty to faking 5,000 daily meals at a sham site, pocketing millions as her 2018-2020 “enforcer” in Somali voter turnout. Omar pocketed $7,400 from convicted fraudsters before refunding it – after sponsoring the 2020 MEALS Act that greased the $250 million Feeding Our Future scam.

Walz Excuses ‘Generosity’ as State Feared ‘Racism’ Lawsuits

Walz shrugs off the billion-dollar bleed, claiming his crew “erred on the side of generosity” to shove pandemic cash out fast. “The programs are set up to move the money to people,” he whined, now touting a fraud task force and AI audits – after the horse bolted. Critics nail it: state educrats drowned in bogus apps from minority outfits like Feeding Our Future, which threatened racism lawsuits if approvals slowed. Officials caved despite red flags like invoices for tens of thousands of ghost meals, terrified of alienating the Somali voting bloc Omar mobilizes.

This isn’t charity gone wrong – it’s a Democrat-engineered grift where open borders, welfare magnets, and political cowardice let Somalis ransack American taxpayers for a billion bucks, possibly bankrolling jihadists. With 59 convictions already and probes expanding, Walz’s “sanctuary” paradise is crumbling – but not before bleeding the heartland dry.
