CEO of MyPillow, Mike Lindell, is teasing challenging Minnesota governor Tim Walz in the 2026 gubernatorial race.

Lindell shared, “I live here in Minnesota, everywhere I go, nobody wants Tim Walz.”

He added, “They don’t. Even if you’re a Democrat, you think he’s a good Democrat governor? They don’t even like him for what he did these nonsensical things he did.”

Per The Washington Examiner:

My Pillow founder and Trump ally Mike Lindell slammed Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) on Monday, teasing a bid to challenge the former vice presidential candidate in Minnesota’s 2026 gubernatorial race.

“I live here in Minnesota, everywhere I go, nobody wants Tim Walz,” Lindell said on his streaming platform, LindellTV. “They don’t. Even if you’re a Democrat, you think he’s a good Democrat governor? They don’t even like him for what he did these nonsensical things he did.”

Lindell considered running for governor in 2022, suggesting that Trump encouraged him to launch a bid. He also weighed running in 2018.

The My Pillow founder grew to prominence among MAGA-aligned Republicans as he echoed Trump’s claims that the 2020 election was rigged in favor of former President Joe Biden.

Here’s what Newsweek reported:

Mike Lindell, the founder and CEO of MyPillow, has said he is considering running for governor of Minnesota in 2026.

Newsweek has contacted Lindell and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for comment via email outside regular working hours.

Lindell is a prominent figure in the MAGA movement and a longtime supporter of President Donald Trump. In addition to running MyPillow, Lindell hosts the website FrankSpeech, a platform for conservative pundits, and the streaming and broadcast platform Lindell TV.

Walz, who has served as governor of Minnesota since 2019, is eligible to run for a third term but has not announced whether he will do so. The Democrat is reportedly eyeing a third term following confirmation in February that he would not run for his state’s open Senate seat in 2026.
