Major American cities, including New York City, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles, are on high alert following the air strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

“We’re tracking the situation unfolding in Iran. Out of an abundance of caution, we’re deploying additional resources to religious, cultural, and diplomatic sites across NYC and coordinating with our federal partners. We’ll continue to monitor for any potential impact to NYC,” NYPD stated.

Shortly thereafter, the Metropolitan Police Department released a similar statement on the social media platform.

“The Metropolitan Police Department is closely monitoring the events in Iran,” the statement said. “We are actively coordinating with our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to share information and monitor intelligence in order to help safeguard residents, businesses, and visitors in the District of Columbia.”

MPD said there are no known threats to the District, but that it will increase its presence at religious institutions across the city.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass posted on X, noting that following the bombings in Iran, the city is “closely monitoring any threats to public safety.”

Cities across the United States are on high alert following Donald Trump’s airstrikes on three nuclear cites in Iran.

The president addressed the nation late Saturday and called the attack a ‘spectacular military success,’ stating that Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities ‘have been completely and totally obliterated.’

Trump deployed B-2 stealth bombers to take out Iran’s key Fordow bunker, Natanz and Esfahan sites.

He issued a doomsday warning to Iran if they don’t immediately run to the negotiating table to make peace with Israel.

Iran’s foreign minister called the strikes ‘outrageous’ and said that Tehran ‘reserves all options’ to retaliate.

After Trump’s announcement, police in New York City and Washington DC revealed they increasing their presence amid fears of a retaliatory attack.

Trump warned Iran that ANY retaliation against the United States of America will be met with force far greater than what was witnessed tonight.
