It seems that Boston and Los Angeles are completely willing to double down on their sanctuary city status. Even if that puts the residents of those cities at risk.
The Los Angeles City Council passed the ordinance unanimously during Tuesday’s council meeting, by a vote of 13 to 0. The ordinance, which was drafted more than a year ago, codifies the protection of migrants into municipal law and would ban the use of city resources to assist federal immigration enforcement.
Under the law, no investigations, arrests, transfers or detentions of any people for the purpose of immigration enforcement would be allowed on city property or by city employees. Police would be exempt if investigating serious crimes.
The law, which contains an urgency clause, would go into effect within 10 days once Mayor Karen Bass signs it.
Want to bet that the LAPD will be told to stand down even IF the serious crime such as assault, rape, or murder is the issue?
Passing this ordinance shows that those running Los Angeles Don’t. Care. It’s all ORANGEMANBAD! Even the new attorney general for California is getting in on this.
California has the largest number of immigrants in the nation
As your Attorney General, I’ll use the full force of the law and the full authority of my office to protect and defend California’s immigrant communities from any unlawful action Trump takes https://t.co/GyPQaFpV7z

Is he going to protect the immigrant communities from those here illegally who commit crimes? What about the fact that the Tren de Aragua gangs have infiltrated major cities across the U.S., INCLUDING LA, San Diego, and others? Will Bonta, state police, and the LAPD protect lawful immigrants and CA residents from those criminals here illegally? By all accounts, the answer is a hard NO.
The Mayor of Boston, Michelle Wu is also doubling down on the city’s sanctuary status.
“Elections have consequences, and the federal government is responsible for a certain set of actions, and cities, no individual city, can reverse or override some parts of that,” she said. “But what we can do is make sure that we are doing our part to protect our residents in every possible way, that we are not cooperating with those efforts that actually threaten the safety of everyone by causing widespread fear and and having large scale economic impact.”
“And then we are providing the spaces to reach out directly to our residents, because the last thing we want is for people who are part of our economy, part of our school system, part of our community and the fabric of our city, to feel that all of a sudden they have to retreat into the shadows with because of fear that reaching out to city services, whether it’s calling 911, when you need it, or taking your child to school, those are all city services that have nothing to do with immigration enforcement, and we will continue to protect our residents within those spaces,” she said.
Note the use of the word “residents.” As if they are just your ordinary citizens going about their daily lives with the implication that they have every legal right to be here. Those here illegally don’t.
Keep in mind, as Boston and the Governor of Massachusetts have done their best to stand in the way, ICE has made multiple arrests over these last few months of illegals committing major sex crimes. In every single case, the ICE detainers were ignored by state and local police departments. Yet now, Boston and Los Angeles are doubling down on “protecting illegal criminals.”
Tom Homan knows his stuff.

Throwing out the welcome mat like this doesn’t end well, at all. Even the Boston Herald knows this is a bad idea.
Editorial | Signaling to undocumented migrants that the state won’t lift a finger to enforce immigration laws is like turning on the flashing neon “vacancy” sign on a motel. Need a room? Come here. https://t.co/RI61IFznGp

Evidently it’s ok that illegals are targeting young women and children sexually, committing assaults, rapes, burglaries, carjackings, and taking over apartment complexes. These sanctuary cities will protect the illegal criminals even as city and state resources are being drained and American citizens are put at risk.
“A country without secure borders isn’t a country at all,” LACGOP Communications Director Rozanne Hodge told Fox News. “So-called ‘sanctuary’ cities and states sound warm and fuzzy, but the protections they offer aren’t for abuelas getting ice cream, they’re for people who’ve entered the country illegally and committed additional crimes.
“Whether drunk driving, robbery, sexual violence, assault or murder, none of those should go unpunished,” she continued. “Perpetrators should definitely not be protected by the largesse taken from hard-working taxpayers.”
What will it take for these mayors, attorneys general, and governors to get clued in on reality? Another Laken Riley murder? Laken fought for EIGHTEEN long hard brutal minutes to stay alive. The illegal who killed her was flown into this country by the Biden/Harris Administration. Is that why they want? How about Jocelyn Nungaray? She was attacked and killed by Tren de Aragua gang members. Is that acceptable to the mayors and city councils of Boston and Los Angeles?
Evidently so. They are putting illegals, especially the criminals, in front of their lawful legal AMERICAN CITIZEN residents. And they wonder why Trump prevailed at the ballot box on November 5th.
